I'm in the market for a 3080 and i am a huge fan of EVGA but are these are some of the ugliest cards i have ever seen from you guys. there is absolutely nothing that strikes me as remotely close to ok looking. what were you guys thinking? lol

Great thing about multiple manufacturers, you can pick and choose who to buy from. I for one really like the design.

This new look is pushing me to a FE card. That and the cooling solution on my 1080Ti seems almost identical to what they are slapping on the 3080. Doesn't seem like the AIB's are adding much to design any more.

the 1080 is the last good looking card from EVGA, ever since then the cards have looked more and more like cheap plastic toys but the 3080 takes it to another level entirely. if you own a system that's worth 3k+ you wouldn't put this in it plain and simple and yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder but you have to be near blind to put up with this.
 
the same can be said about any of the aftermarket 3000 series cards. all of them looks absolutely ugly but the least ugly of them is the Asus Strix.. i really am considering going for the FE, it looks sleak and professionally designed to cater to adults and not children.

I really don't care what it looks like as long as it performs right out of the box. I plan on getting the 3090 FTW3 Hydro Copper water block for my current setup below and a 3080 for my Z490 setup. I am giving my 1 2080Ti's to my sisters son and the other one of course to my sister.

They look pretty good to me. I don't understand why people care so much about how a card looks. If there was a card that's 300% faster than a 2080 Ti but looked like crap, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
 
Do you care how your heart and lungs look from the inside or do you just want them to work well? I never bother looking at my PC while gaming. It's underneath my desk. All this fancy RGB is just pointless expenses. There's no one coming over to my house that I'm looking to impress with the aesthetics of my graphics card. Personally, I think the FE cards look kind of ugly.

Nobody is forcing you to buy any card. Your opinion is just that, other people like the designs. Go buy a card that you like, there are plenty to chose from. Personally I view them as passable since I prefer more neutral/customizable cards, but the red accents match my build.

Make sure to email eVGA so they can invite you to the next design meeting, Wouldn't want to release something that YOU specifically don't like!

Agreed. I also like them. And no is forcing anyone to buy EVGA, or the 3000 series.
Personally I generally prefer EVGA's aesthetic to other vendors' aesthetics. I stick with EVGA for the warranty, Step Up, excellent customer service, higher quality, etc. Aesthetics comes last for me personally. 

Not everyone is going to like any given aesthetic. And there are options such as hybrid kits, waterblocks, etc that can mitigate a dislike for the aesthetic. It could be maybe possible for EVGA to sell an alternate cooler design? Although that would likely not be cost efficient enough to sell at a viable price.

As long as it can be compatible with any color scheme in a build it truly comes to preferences. I do like the red accents myself. Unfortunately they're objectively a mistake for the reason of compatibility with any color scheme. I don't go making highly emotional statements about it, because that's not very productive.

It would be better to frame it as "I strongly dislike the look" rather than "ugliest thing ever" though. It comes across as more respectful and less hostile to frame it less "strongly." If people do want to convince them to change it a reframe of your approach would be advisable.

I think it looks amazing, literally every single one of the designs. I'm not just trying to disagree with you, I really like all of them. I'm going with the FTW3 3080 Ultra, and I'm hoping I can get it on launch day. I have the money in the bank ready to go.

Imagine the increased sales you could get if you had aesthetic design that appealed to most people.
 
When people complain, it is because they care enough to share their feedback with you. Don't insult them by telling them to shop elsewhere.

I put my card in, close the case without a window, and never look at it again.  Build quality, product support, and performance are king.

evga cards always have their own look, will evga make reference designs live nvidias?
