who cares how it looks as long has it works You would be surprised how many people care about aesthetics. I personally think they look hideous I wouldn't get one even if they were 50% off, sorry but that's me the new coolers look cheap  I love blower style.

You would be surprised how many people care about aesthetics. I personally think they look hideous I wouldn't get one even if they were 50% off, sorry but that's me the new coolers look cheap I love blower style.
I would say looking at the pictures I would agree with you, but in person I changed my mind. I can completely understand someone not liking it, but I feel the pictures sell it short. **Edit** My comment was in regard to the FTW3, but the same can be said about many of the aftermarket coolers. Some of "lower" spec options looks cheap, but on the higher end cards they are pretty nice.

I could see that. There are a lot of things that simply do not come across well in pictures, but that look much, much better in physical form. And I am one of those people who look at aesthetics and performance at the same time. I've always preferred the look of a reference blower card to that of the ACX/ICX cards. but I've never bought one. Why? Because all of the blower cards had those big glowing green letters on the side and that color would completely clash with the builds I've had up till now.

I really like the GEFORCE GTX logo on the FE. It's diversity in the rest of red and black of my setup. I like the iCX too - pretty masculin design -, but I had two ACX before and I wanted something different. The FE is the most aesthetic card I ever had. I don't need nine sensors on a GPU, but I understand the message behind it and I think it was necessary.
I was "sitting" between a 1080 Ti SC2 an ROG Stix 1080 Ti OC Ed. or a -FE... I picked up the last one. And guess what, this may be subjective, but to me the FE-blow-out sounds more pleasant than the ACX from my 980 Ti SC+.

I really like my Blue elite FTW3, but I'll probably take it off once the hybrid kit comes out.
Maybe I can mount it in the case somehow.

The shroud is the reason I bought my 1080ti sc2 :D
