Hi! I have a GTX 1070 SC, several months ago, i see a "oily substance" on the pcie connector. Then today i decide to tear down my graphics cards for cleaning (here in Puerto Rico the Sahara dust are extremely common is this season). To make things shorts, appears the thermal par eaten by something and oily. All the oily substance are on the pcb too.

Anyone have this situation?

Due to limitation of the forum, I only upload 3 photos downsized. Here's the photos:

Oily is 100% normal.

The damage is odd though. It looks like super thick dust at first, but there is clearly serious damage done to portions of the pad.

Talk to EVGA and see if they would be able to send out replacement pads to you.

yeah , the oil is supposed to be normal. It is residue that comes from the thermal pads - but I've never seen the crumbly, shredded bits flying around before.

I can confirm that the oily substance is normal however the crumbling of the thermal pads is not as I have never seen anything like this before. Please respond to the email sent to you by tech support and we can send you new thermal pads for your card.
