With all this talk of the Hybrid and FTW3, I don't think the Black Edition is getting all the love it deserves. So, I am starting this thread so you can all share your experiences with your 1080ti BE's so I can feel better about my purchase... I mean, tell us how much you love it! Post your scores, your OC's, post your watercooling, yell at EVGA about shipping and not getting it in time! Oh, they're readily available and have been out since almost day one? Nevermind.

I mean, who needs 9 thermal sensors and fancy RGB LED lights and 3 fans and different colors and dual BIOS and 10+2 power phases and dual 8 pin power connections and *crying*...

Seriously though, my BE will be here tomorrow and I'm exited. I've never been in to "suped-up" GPUs and just wanted something I can OC myself and make my own with not a ton of extras. I will also block it down the road so it made sense.

I'll post my first impressions tomorrow!

Remember that is says "iCX Cooler & LED"  Not "iCX Color LED" The LED is Only White.

I have one arriving tomorrow (5/10).  For my needs, this card is more than enough.  I have had a 1080 SC2 ICX with all the bells and whistles.  This card comes with an ICX cooler and I am sure with the thermal pads, etc that the SC2 would have.  Only thing missing is the 9 sensors and the light show.  Not sure how much I would need that.  Am going to use with MSI Afterburner, since the fans are linked with one header...This should be a great card.

MSI MAG X670-E Tomahawk;  Ryzen 7 7800X3D; Asus TUF RTX 4070 TI OC; Seasonic Vertex GX-1000 PSU; 32 GB  Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 CL30 RGB; Corsair iCue Link H150i LCD 360MM AIO; 2-Western Digital Black 4 TB SN850X NVMe; Creative SoundBlaster Z;  Lian Li Lancool III; Corsair K70 RGB Pro MX Speed Silver Keyboard; Razer Viper 8K Mouse

ive had mine since last week. absolutely love it. idles in the low to mid 20s. I ran heaven 4.0 last night and listened to to the fans as they ramped up to 70%. at that speed they were still very quiet. the card hasn't hit 70c in any bench or game yet. mild OC of +40/50. I originally wanted the SC2 but this was in stock at the egg and I couldn't pass it up. NO REGERTS

Just did some preliminary testing.  Ran Timespy...http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/19852800

Clocked the card +85 Core and +250 memory to get this.  The FE I had did slightly better...topping off at 2050 Mhz vs 2038 for the Black.  Overall...same performance.

Additional info.  Overclocked...the card idles at 30C and reached a peak of 62C full load.  Stayed consistently in that temp range...never went over.  Using MSI Afterburner 4.4.0 beta 8 with RTSS 7.0.0 beta 22.  Since the card doesn't have asynchronous fans...Afterburner a better fit, for me.

@bobmitch, you are not alone.  I could not get long term stability at +100 MHz core.  The lowest memory clock I had it at was +250 MHz, and I later found out the crashes were from the EVGA Precision overlay.  I've not had time to go back and do much more testing.  But when I had decent clocks Rise of the Tomb Raider was enjoying an additional +10 FPS average at 2160p, and it was quite nice.  Right now it's around 58 FPS, which is still better than 30 FPS locked on consoles.

Added EVGA Powerlink to the card.  Ran core +85 and memory +350.  Power limit 120 temp limit 90.  Card never hit 60C this time...BTW...all testing at 1440P

Welp, a little late but here's what I got: ...I gave up at +20mhz core lol. I'm not even going to bother with the memory clock at this point.

Time Spy gave me a 9115 score and 97.4% frame rate stability at stock speeds (lower than my previous gen cards) but not sure how relevant that test is. Firestrike gave me a 21162 which is actually beast. Boosts at 1974 core which I still can't complain, honestly. My temp hovered at around 63c.

Oh well. I have to say, the card still performs fantastic in games and is very fluid. No stuttering and the such. Here's some pics:
