New parts in, still more to come.

Just upgraded from the x58 to the Z87. I must say am impressed with the 4770k hit 4.7ghz with it no problem. Just running a CM V8 GTS on the cpu cooler, a Gigabyte board, my EVGA psu, some old ram I had sitting around, GTX 680 Classified, a couple wd vraptors, a Samsung 1tb drive, and asus bluray drive. bitfenix and corsair fans, my bitfenix recon fan controller, and corsair fans nothing really special. I didn't expect this 4 core tiny cpu to slightly out do my i7 970 but it does. at 299 vs 600-1k for an eol Core I7 990x figured to say screw that and get something that runs cooler, more efficient, and takes a nice chunk yearly out of my power bill, Also 300-400 dollars for an eol x58 board not happening they can go suck an egg. So here we are The Veteran 002 My DOD edition. Only thing I want and need at this point is a GTX Titan or a GTX 780 TI... Prefer the Titan for maya but got to keep speaking with my wallet....

After my PNY GTX 780 TI got in with my new razer headset=D still ram to go but whatever=)

Wonder why?  The C70 is a great case.  I built a rig with one and it is one of my favorites.

Nice - how'd you like building in the Corsair C70 case ?

Personally I love this case - feels like a military ammo box.

LoL that was the whole purpose of corsairs design/color for the c70 Vengeance Military Green case Steve hehehe, I have some real ammo cans sitting around with ammo=)
The C70 is amazing in all cases in the same size class and many bigger they do not hold a candle to this case. Its rugged, stable, aggressive looking but not spacy like it wants to be an alienware, the air flow is amazing for such a small case, not to mention the room you get inside this mid tower atx case.

This is my first build in a long time and as many notice it does not have an EVGA motherboard or GPU. Why do you ask, around I think it was 2011 EVGA was asked by BSN if they where going to ditch the Limited Lifetime warranty that has pretty much given them the solid footing with their support in the gpu and motherboard market. Their response to BSN was high end products and or custom products aka the classified line will continue to have the limited lifetime warranty. Well here we are 2014 and all of that has gone out the window.
1k+ for a gpu from me again, that's just my up is about as worthless as a corrupt politician.
Sorry EVGA but being a loyal customer has not paid off... being in the community has but throwing money at EVGA like a rabbid tech mongering monkey for the latest shiny...my last good experience with EVGA was when my E759 classified went caput because of the defect, and evga finally coming up for a fix for everyone else that was a more affordable one with the power boost. The biggest downer was the classified 3 didn't have the nf200 chip that I got the E759 special edition of the classified for. But since then no limited lifetime, notta what has made EVGA great are the founding principles it was started on before Andrew Han pushed his partner out the door, EVGA did amazing things for its consumers.
But EVGA I will be here for the community to read, learn new things, but until you make a comeback to how the company started, other companies will start getting my money more and more. I know me owning over 30 evga products is very small in comparison to how many you sell a day, a week, a month a year, and others have purchased way more I am sure. But hope this build and some others posted by customers is at least some type of wake up call. That we do speak with our wallets, and if you want us to buy your hardware exclusively better make it competitive and worth it again. Because just the name is not doing it.

Very nicely done Donta, the stickers are awesome! And really like how the GPU matches the motherboard. I want a 700 series...
