He didn’t share the model number he queued for compared to you. He has the hybrid model and even states that people are saying it’s unfair when he queued on the day the hybrids were released.
You didn’t queue for the hybrid, did you?

The queue is for specific model numbers. This user signed up for the hybrid variant, which wasn’t available when you signed up. Did you sign up for the hybrid model, yes or no?

Other folks have already said it, but each sku/product number has its own queue. It is not one big list. For the North American Notify Queues, here is the latest summary of where they are in their respective timelines. I hope it helps. North American Notify Queue Summary Best of luck!

I replied to people on that twitter post about it to try and help alleviate the confusion, but if you haven't looked into it yourself or don't check to see how it works, it's easy to get mixed up and think something shady is going on I guess. Reminds me of the Bane quote about some people are just adopting the dark but we were born in it. I know that's not right, but it's been helpful to remind myself that some people have not been following this issue since the beginning, or following the queue for a long time. They may not also click the stickied post that explains what's going on, and if they're new, they're almost 100% not going to read through the 860+ (at time of post) pages of that thread to see what's evolved over time there.

He was "mean" lol funny. Welcome to normal discourse. Anyway, the quality or rather speed of the GPUs going into the 3080 (and other cards) cards vary, and EVGA is binning them based on speed. If you look at the boost clock speeds you'll see there are 3 offered. Then between the XC and FTW3 lines there *might* be some binning selection too between cards with the same rated boost clock. So that guy might be paying more, or less, for a different card that happens to have a shorter queue. I imagine that the number of XC3 Gaming cards far exceeds the FTW3 Ultra due to fewer chips being able to hit the higher boost clock speeds required by the FTW3 Ultra. Or you can just keep thinking the world is picking on you, you know, since obviously everyone else here is MEAN.

Well I really was thinking your post was the best so far for understanding the Que until you became an too. For one I didn't realize it was a hybrid model until the other smart guy mentioned it. The Twitter post you used as you entire premise for your post had that it was a hybrid model in the top comment long before you posted. I understand that is easy to miss, but you came in with partial information attacking EVGA for something you didn’t understand, and after you were alerted directly, you tried “it’s just a chip” as a defense. If you are changing “menus” it’s a choice honesty. The queue is working exactly how it should, and I hope you get a card soon.

The abject inanity of this type of post never ceases to amaze me.
Edit: And by swap, I mean just the cards. You EAT the 100 dollars. I get the slightly better binned chip/card with an AIO and you get the low end 'just a 3080 chip' card.
