Hello all,

I just got a RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra GPU for Christmas and I am a little concerned... I haven't had a new GPU in many years, but I feel like my temps are WAY too high. I've noticed my card spiking up as high as 88 degrees while under load during gaming. My question is twofold:

1) what is the safe/recommended operating temperature for these cards?

2) what is the maximum temperature before thermal throttling for these cards?

Should I have cause for concern if I am constantly running in the high 70s and low 80s, or do these new cards just run hot?

Thanks!

    1. The lower the better, but the card can operate up to 93c without issues. A few c after that it will thermal throttle/shutdown to prevent damage.
    2. 93c.
    3. No.
