For the life of me I can't get this AC cable to stay seated in the PSU. No matter how gently I move about my apartment, this connection always ends up disconnected and on the floor. I don't see any place where a bailing wire type bracket could attach to hold it in. I don't want to 'twist' the prongs inside the PSU to cause tension on the plug and doing so would make me nervous about voiding my warranty. How about wrapping a few turns of electrical tape on the outside edge of this plug? This thing is driving me crazy. On top of that, I have never seen a pin configuration like this in my entire life. My honest preference would be to take a plug style similar to my other SuperNOVA G2 Power Supplies and replacing this monstrosity but that would void my warranty for sure. Suggestions? I think the electrical tape wrapped around the plug is the best unless EVGA manufactures a 1600 G2 PSU with the 'normal' plug and input config.

It only seems that way. I have one along with the older 1500 Classified PSU. Push it in and your fine, it only seems like it is not plugged in all the way.

This cable from the wall to the PSU is so thick and twisted, it might be acting like a coiled up spring helping to pull the socket out of the PSU. I'll try to soften it up by letting it sit in the sunlight for a while. The inside of this case is a mess right now and it isn't in its final location. Maybe I can run that cable underneath the Stryker case to hold it still?

I got it a lot straighter. Where it goes into the PSU it has a maybe 3' diameter half circle so I got rid of most of the tension from that end. The wall end doubles back on itself making the cable look like a tight 'S' shape. My back is shot for the day so I'll play some more tomorrow or just buy a replacement from NewEgg that isn't so darn stiff. I've seen arc welding cables that were more flexible than this thing.

Zuhl3156, I had a similar issue with one of my power supplies. I simply wrapped electrical tape around the AC female connector until it fit snug.

That sounds like the simplest and best solution. This square connector is just plain too loose. It slides right into the PSU with little or no force where all of my other power cords require a decent amount of pressure to get them seated fully into their device.

AC adapter not snug on 1600w G2

Is the AC in supposed to be loose on the 1600w G2? It can literally fall out if you don't manage the crazy thick power cable. It seems to be working fine, it just seems odd that such a nice PSU has such a weird issue. Anyone else have this PSU and notice this?

Are you talking about the power in socket on the PSU? Personally I don't think it should wobble or be loose. I'm going to ask that you contact EVGA tech support ASAP.

I just picked one up from Amazon and I see a similar issue with the back power connector of the PSU is very loose when the cable is put in. I ordered a new one and am returning this one. I hope that this is not by design ?

For safety the connection should never be loose or wobbly. The female connection going to the power plug should be still and firm.

It may feel loose but this is the way this type connector feels, but it is not really loose. Just wrap some Wide Black Electrical Tape Around the End. ("AC female connector" as posted above) I have 3 Warps around mine.

It not really an issue. Go to Home Deport and test them, 20 out of 20 connected the same way the EVGA Connector Feels. They only had 20 Female Connecters to Test with.

shows you have a 1300 G2 Your Power Supply used this type of Power Cable. Did you change Power Supplies? The 1500 and 1600 Watt Power Supplies use the Below Type AC Power Cable. As shown in the Post Above https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2613262
