wouldn't be the first time that AMD carved out low core-count SKUs using dual-CCD MCMs, we've seen instances of such dual-CCD Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors from past generations, such as the Ryzen 3000 "Matisse" and Ryzen 5000 "Vermeer." Normally, the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 SKUs are based on a single-CCD package, with the substrate physically lacking a second CCD. The IHS is small and sturdy enough to not need the second CCD as a structural support. This leads us to speculate that the 7600X is being harvested out of dual-CCD packages that have been produced surplus to demand.
