I've got my device set up between my Denon receiver and my TV, with a Windows 11 laptop for running OBS.  Video capture is fine, and passthrough works as expected, however I don't get any audio whatsoever.  In OBS the EVGA device shows no line activity, and monitoring the device has no audio.  I've updated the firmware to latest, and even tried using an analog cable to the XR1's line in to no result at all.

Any help is appreciated.

I have a Denon AVR-X3300W, the settings are almost endless. I am not using a capture device, so these are just a few questions I have about your setup

TV & resolution your working with ?

Laptop specs?

Denon receiver connected to XR1 Pro, laptop & TV using HDMI?  what specific cables  - HDMI ver ?

Denon receiver, is it setup as pass through?

Denon receiver, is it set as sound source & not TV speakers?

What is the Video & Audio (Signal) source?

TV is a 4k, 65" VIZIO P series.
Receiver is a Denon AVR-S760H, which is a newer model that supports HDMI 2.1.
All cables are HDMI 2.1 certified (I was having issues with different things in the past, so I essentially threw out all the cables and bought new 2.1)
The TV has its speakers disabled, the receiver is the sound source.
Laptop is a Gigabyte Aero: i7-11800H, 16GB Ram, 3060 mobile GPU.

Devices tried: PS5, Nintendo Switch, Analogue Mega SG, all no audio.

So your asking about the sound mode had me try a few things:
Putting the receiver in "AVR" mode, no audio to XR1, but audio from speakers.
Putting it in "TV" mode, no audio from speakers, but XR1 has a very low signal.
Passthrough mode seems to behave similar, low signal to the XR1, needs like a 20db boost in OBS.  (Is it being that quiet normal?)

The issue might be this particular receiver.  The one I had previously could output audio over HDMI and Speakers at the same time, it seems this one can't?  Odd limitation.  I'll do some more research.

After talking with a Denon customer service rep (those guys really know their stuff, kudos).  When the AVR is in "AVR" mode it doesn't put out ANY audio signal over HDMI.  Therefore we have to put any capture device earlier in the chain.
