How many of you folders use something other than the power company to run your machines?  I've been wondering how much it would cost to do a 2kw solar array.

Each Year I request from our HOA to install Solar Panels on my roof and every year they say no.

I've added solar to my retirement dream house checklist, at least to investigate the cost of when/if it comes to pass.  It's 11 years off now, so who knows what solar will be like then.

costs are getting much better but you are still looking around $10 per KW installed. and keep in mind that you should be looking at KWH of your power bill and your location to determine the actual size of your array. HERE is a good calculator to use.
