I got my elite status through purchasing, but yeah they will likely begin to weed out the spam accounts, even if those accounts are "gamers" spam is spam, if you want to get elite bad enough, buy something from their website and register it, make sure its actually in their "items that apply for elite status" , also I had another post where I actually contact support, and believe me they have plans for the release and to deal with bots and spammers.

A decent amount of scalpers are humans, it's just nearly impossible to prevent scalpers from ever bypassing anything since you can't really screen out people's intent. It's like trying to get rid of all the evil from the world
