vinhus Skylake Core i7-6700K CPU on EVGA's own Z170 Classified motherboard equipped with 16GB of G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 memory and powered by EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 T2 power supply, K|NGP|N managed to overclock the Core i7-6700K CPU up to 5.6GHz and EVGA's GTX 980 Ti K|NGP|N graphics card to over 2GHz, allowing him to get a score of 7,893.7 in Unigine Heaven Xtreme benchmark, which is the new single-card world record.

Very nice !!!
That is a nice temp overclock but worthless for everyday use. Must be nice to receive binned products to overclock with for free.
So that is why I keep my current classy + 4790K stable at 4.7G + 4ways GTX 980's SC / 24hrs use . Just considering try X99 or wait for other future X9x ( wanna try six cores this time). :-))
If you want to try 6 cores you have now historical chance with i7-5820K with same Cache as 4960X and same core numbers only little newer platform. X99 is perfect for primary rig, E-ATX, Z170 is perfect for smaller "backup" rigs I call them. Special little Mini ITX motherboards. Somehow I have confidence in overclocking CPU on EVGA boards, maybe is that experience because I have nice i7-3770K and reliable Z77 FTW... It's pity because board is not Mini ITX Format I would maybe even keep than as second PC. Or maybe I could keep second kit of DDR4 to sell Z77 platform and invest in i7-6700K and during 2016 to buy Stinger Z170. I didn't look compatibility between Z170 Stinger and Ripjaws 4, at least 2x4GB.
I would love to go with X99 , but my concern is the X99 more than 1yr old... so if I go with it now then next couple months later they maybe have new generation of it such as X1xx out ... that's waist my time and money ! :-))
