Hello,

new year has come and constantly we observe sudden voltage drops all around street and sometimes electricity is completly corrupted. I found a 500Watt APC UPS. I have 750w gold EVGA psu. That is enough to keep computer open about 5 minutes at least. The problem is I hear sizzles when I wove cable left and right when cables are connected to UPS. If not moved I do not hear sound. Is that a problem ?

Not the best idea to wiggle your power cables with the Power On.
You need only the Power Cable for the PSU in the Computer and put the Monitor on the Serge Side only and not the UPS side.
500 Watt UPS is really Small, what Hardware is inside your Computer?
I use APC UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector with AVR, 1500VA, APC Back-UPS Pro (BX1500M) (900W) for a Computer with 2 GPU's.
or the APC UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector with AVR, 1350VA, APC Back-UPS Pro (BX1350M) (810W) for a Computer with a Single GPU.
You should be using at the Low End the APC UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector with AVR, 1000VA, APC Back-UPS Pro (BX1000M) (600W)

A small one like the APC UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector with USB Charger, 850VA, APC Back-UPS (BE850M2) (450W) is to small for todays high end computers. Good for Routers and Hubs small stuff like Modems.

No sizzle is not good not at all.
Sounds like a cable inside the APC unit is not tight or connected well.
I would NOT use this APC UPS Unit.

Connect a Light to it with a 100 Watt Bulb and with the Light on and the APC UPS Unit On unplug the Power Cord from the Wall and see if the Lights Stays on and you hear an alarm go off on the APC UPS Unit.

You should not hear any sound like a "sizzle" when plugging in the power supply. If you plug the PSU into a regular surge protector does the same thing happen? Also, does the plug feel "tight" when plugging in the PSU or is it loose at all?

Sound comes from UPS not from PSU. When I directly connect it with reg. surg. prt. that does not give sizzle or whatever  you call electiricity noise. PSU is okay UPS is problem. Anything I connect to UPS and wiggle cable I hear sizzle but only when I wiggle it I hear this sound.

If that's the case then I would replace the UPS immediately. Sounds like there is something very wrong with it.
