Mossberg 500 tactical is what I have for home defense. First shell is #8 shot. Second is #5, then the rest are 00 buck. The first two are loud and scary, will hurt but won't penetrate walls.

Doubt I will ever use it in my life, but it is there.

Best gun is one you have, but never have to use.

I'd rather use my firearms on paper...never want to have to actually use it to defend myself or others...

Awesome stuff guys!!! Keep buying guns my friends. Enjoy what the rest of the world envy's you for. Man I wish we can all meet up and have a range day with each other and have a blast (literally). But of course we all live in different states and such.
 
Any of you have any targets you shot on paper to show your MOA for each rifle? Can you guys also let me know what ammo you shoot through your rifles.  I like to know what people use and how its going for them.
 
 
By the way I went to my local gun store not to long ago and came across my dream gun!! Surprises me they actually had one in stock this time. I want this baby so bad but its too much for me at the moment($10K). If I look hard enough I know I can probably find one for $8,500. Just depends of course. The sales associate was telling me the scope cost $1500 alone. The magazines for this puppy cost $225. But I know the majority of the money for this gun is in the barrel and bolt.

One I would love is the Obrez, really one off OLD SBR.  Originally it was a mutilated rifle, done out of necessity, but, they were produced that way natively later.  I also love the Mosin platform it is based on, but I assume the recoil would be brutal.... good thing I'm a big guy who's pretty strong  :)
I just love old oddball designs on lots of things.

The muzzle flash on those things are insane. If somebody did decide on making them they should come with a Smokey Bear warning about only you being able to prevent forest fires.
 
NFA stuff is just too much of a hassle for me. That is exactly the way the ATF want its too, but with folding stocks and especially bump fire grips/stocks you can still have loads of fun without begging Daddy Government to use your civil rights.

Very true, I have seen them, and I am very familiar with that platform (from the rifle end) in general, I just think it would be fun to shoot sometime, and one heck of a display case item too, as it really is an oddball.   Really brings fire to the Firearm name.... for those cases when you are within 10 feet of something you want to punch a fist sized hole in AND set it on fire. 
I put it in the same category as doing a wheel stand in a dragster, is it the most efficient thing to do with that power, certainly not, but it would be fun to experience at least once.
 
Also, just looking at them, they always made me think of a bolt action version of a pirate sidearms from old black and white movies.
