HI all -new to forums, but have several EVGA products and have used them regularly in builds over the years. I have registered them all. But a few days ago I got an email from EVGA about the new audio card. SO I went to check it out and it said I was not eligible for a discount because I don't have an eligible product registered. So, I then looked and sure enough my 1070 GPU that I purchased from New Egg a few years ago is indeed listed as a product for the discount. I proceeded to check on my GPU's registration and sure enough - I have no registered products. The thing is - this product came with a free game - if you register it - which I did , and I have the free game= Gears of War to prove I registered it. But hey, no harm, no foul -right. So I go to re-register my game using the sticker (box is long gone after a few years) on the GPU and the website says its not a valid serial number. There are 2 stickers on the GPU. One sticker has a number with a bar code with numbers below it and below that are a bunch of boxes with initials in them. The second sticker has a bar codes, then below that what looks like a C/N number, then below that is says Bios version with numbers all grouped in two's. So now what?? Anybody ? Not really worried about the discount situation - but would like my product registered for warranty purposes. Yes - I have the digital receipt from New Egg.

Plot Twist (not joking but kind of laughing a little) The Gears of War promotion was an NVidia promotion, so the game came from the place of purchase which was NewEgg since you bought the 1070 from Newegg according to your post. You wouldn't have had to register the card on EVGA's website to retrieve the code. Cards purchased outside of EVGA.com would not have been redeemed from EVGA.com unless you are in a very specific region, which I don't think that region has access to newegg. Each promotion page is hotlinked above. The EVGA hotlink is important because it states that the promotion only applies to purchase from EVGA. The NewEgg promotion shows expired, and won't allow you to see any more. Aside from that, CoolGTX shows the correct picture that you would need to register the GPU. Just look for the word "Serial Number" at the bottom of the sticker, and use that number.

Well hmmm.... that is pretty funny - and would certainly explain the lack of registering the GPU at EVGA. Could have sworn I did register it on the EVGA website , but I guess it could have slipped my mind. I did contact support and I am working with them to try and figure out the serial number and register my GPU. I did a screen shot of my New Egg receipt and got pics of the GPU/stickers and sent them to support. Hopefully we will figure it out.

I am sure they will be able to help you figure it out. Is there not a sticker on your card that shows the serial number like CoolGTX posted above?

nope - NOT that I can see... I described the 2 stickers I see in my post and send them pics of those stickers. The card is still installed- so maybe there is another sticker on the the area of the card I cannot see ( against the mobo and against the back of the case). I would rather not have to pull the card out - but if necessary, then I will.

Which 1070 do you have or is it a 1070 Ti (links have pictures of Current GPU in stock & Not all versions of 1070/170Ti) EVGA part # maybe on receipt ? I'm wondering if there is a backplate (electronics board is facing up in standard mounting - is it covered) Could be a second sticker under a backplate How many fans if you do not know what it is Run GPU-Z
What is your Device ID & BIOS Version ?

There is either a serial sticker approximately where the rectangular black box is or there is not. It is easily seen on the back side of the GPU PCB. There is not a backplate on that model.

Make sure to look inside your case to see if the sticker has come off by any chance. It is extremely rare, but it can fall off if all of the circumstances are right. Doesn’t hurt to check if you don’t see it where HeavyHemi shows above.

I just got an email - the support team figured it out from the pics I sent them- YEAH!! Just uploaded my receipt successfully as well. Double Yeah!! So I guess I am eligible for the discount on that new sound card after all. Anybody look at it , use it? Thank you for the responses people and I would have tried the GPU-Z idea when I got home if I had not received the email form EVGA support.
