I said it was only going to get better for this monitor. I'm so pleased with Samsung thus far. Perhaps there will be more to come.

It's a great monitor. I really like how far they have come. You might consider giving it another go. The first wave of monitors sucked. The wave revision 3 fixed all the QC issues along with the firmware updates.

I expected great QC from anything from samsung.  I was shocked how trash the G9 was on release.  There is no way anyone even looked at these things before boxing them up.  I was on a preorder list for months as well.

I will go snag another one.

Yes, they were terrible on launch. Even Samsung's own product page still has all the negative customer reviews from Q1-2020 I got mine in Q4-2020 of last year. Samsung fixed a lot of QC issues. Now is a great time to get one from Amazon, eBay. Or wait for a black Friday sale. If you can snag the newer refresh of the Samsung 49" Odyssey Neo G9 for the same price. Go with that option.

I upgraded to the G9 Neo. It is brighter and runs cooler. The original G9 was and still is a heater. Just shut the door and keep warm without turning the heat on now.
