Has anyone tried installing Windows 10 on their system with the SR2? Did you have any problems? I'd like to make the jump, but I'm curious if it will work well. Thanks!

I called the customers support for four times - but no response about the drivers for Windows 10. Don't know if it works. Perhaps somebody is trying the installation with the w8.1 drivers...

I've gotten my SR-X working with 10. If you're having issues with upgrading try this: (1) Delete everything in the following folder "C:Windows/SoftwareDistribution/Download" (2) Run command prompt as administrator and enter "wuauclt.exe /updatenow" without quotations. You may have to repeat step 2 several times before the update takes. Good luck.

I don't have this motherboard myself otherwise I would test it, but looking over the drivers in the EVGA download section there appears to be Windows 8 drivers for this motherboard so it should work.

windows 10 with sr-2 no problems with the board, lots of little things on some programs to fix or run in compatibility modes but nothing major.

Only problem I had that I should have mentioned was a weird deal where windows outlook mail client would pass it's own send receive test and would receive emails but would not send at all. I ended up finding out that you had to issue a command to fix it that was not very publicized. Probably because it just came out but is was not an SR-2 issue but a Windows 10 issue.

What crash? What are your full specs? What version of the drivers are you using?

SR-2 working good in Win 10 here too. But then I looked at my event logs. Does anyone else have this error over and over again? A corrected hardware error has occurred. Component: PCI Express Root Port Error Source: Advanced Error Reporting (PCI Express) Bus:Device:Function: 0x0:0x0:0x0 Vendor ID:Device ID: 0x8086:0x3406 Class Code: 0x30000 The details view of this entry contains further information. That's what I get for being curious. Many of the posts on the Internet suggest some type of conflict between a hardware driver and the Intel Chipset drivers.

Recently a Windows 8.1 update that screwed my system convinced me to reinstall the whole system from scratch. Finally, I decided to make the switch to Windows 10 at the same time. Device manager doesn't show any device driver missing. Those who have already installed Win10, can you tell me if you installed any driver that's been available from Evga: chipset, sata/esata, Marvel/Intel Raid, network, audio, USB 3.0? Should I bother install any of them? I have noticed my USB 3.0 is now much faster than when I was on Win 8.1. Do you have similar experience? I have also made a series of significant hardware upgrades: X5690, 2X 1TB Samsung 850 Pro and, 96GB of ECC Registered Ram is on the way!
Asus Z10PE-D16 WS, 2x Xeon E5-2666v3, 2x Scythe Ninja 4, 64GB Samsung 2133MHz ECC LRDIMM, Nvidia Quadro M4000, Samsung 256GB 950 Pro nvme system drive, 2x 1TB Samsung 850 Pro in Raid 0, Seasonic X-1250, Mountain Mods U2-UFO, Dell Ultrasharp UP3216Q, Windows 10 Professional 64bit, Linux Ubuintu 64bit in VmWare; Heatware: http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=80690

During a quick test to see if it would install on an SR-2, I did notice that Windows 10 Device Manager didn't have any exclamation marks - but I didn't check to see if there were any missing or inappropriate drivers installed (sorry).

Do yourself a huge favour and put in a decent motherboard. Some variant of Supermicro X8DTH will almost certainly serve you better, especially for a server.

If you have an older SR style EVGA motherboard that still works you can use this as a server but if you want more up to date CPUs then you will need another motherboard as suggested here.
