If you plan on running your 2060 on your old 500w power supply, this is my story. I've been using my 500w PSU for about 4 years and when I installed my 2060 all worked well - almost. I watched a couple videos on overclocking for the 2060 and found their overclocking results were super stable and consistent. My overclocking was bouncing around a lot with only 50 added to the clock speed. I'm familiar with gaming hardware, but I'm not familiar with all the common issues as I've had mostly trouble free experience with EVGA. When I have had an issue its been due to variables not related to the card itself. Long story short, 4 days after I installed my 2060 XC Black I was playing Anthem and paused the game. Suddenly my computer started beeping 4 longs x 5 and the screen went dark. Opening my case I noticed the PSU was HOT. Well, I bought an EVGA 600w PSU and overclocking is super stable with 150 added to clock speed and now it maintains and stabilizes at 2025Mhz clock speed. So I guess my advice to anyone using an aging 500w PSU if your having these same issues, consider your PSU being the problem. Since I installed a EVGA 600w my 2060 run like a boss and am very satisfied with it.

Thank you for sharing your experience

A quality PSU is very important to system stability, especially when you OC

Unfortunately many people fail to realize that the PSU is one of the most important parts of the PC & fail to budget for Quality units
