Rtx 2070 broken hdmi port TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT

I bought an RTX 2070 black edition April this year. I called the support team about a week after I bought it because I had realized the HDMI port was broken and would not display a signal. I talked to a representative and told me to reinstall drivers and update drivers which I did, I also updated bios and everything else you could think of. But the HDMI port still doesn't work. He told me there is nothing that he could do and left it at that. 
 
Flash forward to today I called them again because I now have a htc vive which uses HDMI and I don't want to keep buying adapters for a new GPU that I just bought three months ago. He told me that they could only give me a refurbished card because I didn't call about it within the first month of having the defect. But i did call and he told me they couldnt do anything, so now i am stuck with an rtx card with a broken HDMI port because the first representative told me he couldn't do anything because it is "working as intended" which is clearly wasn't doing. 500 dollar GPU and terrible customer support...
I have only had evga cards in my pc over the years starting with a 960 ftw and never had a problem but it's obvious there are issues with this company. 
 
DO NOT BUY EVGA CARDS THE SUPPORT IS TERRIBLE

    Welcome to the Forum
    Use the anther Port or an Adaptor if you are only using an HDMI Cable.

    Hello, sorry if there is any misunderstandings. However, a RMA requested will not be turned away for a HDMI port that is non functional. We are currently in the process of reviewing your communications with our techs as well. Please register your graphics card in the meantime so that we can help you once our internal investigation is done.
     
    Edit: I spoke with the tech that you spoke to you over the phone today and he did bring your issues to my attention and we are currently looking into other claims that you brought to our attention. Sorry if there is any misunderstandings on your end making you believe that our tech would not assist you. Please look forward to a call soon.

    I didn't break the HDMI port it just doesn't function as soon as I got it didn't touch it until I needed to use it. every other port on the card works besides the HDMI

    I didn't break the HDMI port it just doesn't function as soon as I got it didn't touch it until I needed to use it. every other port on the card works besides the HDMI

    Got it, I was going by "broken hdmi port" in the Topic Title.
    "three months ago" is also a long time and you should have tested the card when you first received it.

    Did you create a Service Ticket when you noticed that the HDMI Port was Not Working?
    "Please register your graphics card in the meantime" is showing that you have not yet completed EVGA Product Registration Rule #1 when you buy any Product.
    Who is He "he told me he couldn't do anything and it was working as intended" Do you have an email from EVGA Support saying this?

    Anyone seeing how evga said if there are any misunderstandings on my part and the tech didnt help me with an rma? which he didnt help me with an rma and they're saying I'm misunderstanding on my end even though he didnt help me??

    Hello! We reviewed the calls that you made in the past and it looks like you were experiencing issues in which the HDMI port would not work with a TV but would work with a monitor and troubleshooting was suggested due to the HDMI port working as intended. Again sorry if there was any misunderstandings but I will reach out to you to try to help resolve your issues I'll also help you register the graphics card if you have not done so already in case we need to do a RMA.

    what is this? Saying I'm the one who didnt understand because he didnt help me with rma at all I

    I just checked my email to confirm and yes evga sent me no email about an rma request or anything acknowledging that I told them about the issue

    he said he clearly said he couldnt do anything because it was a nvidia driver issue?? When clearly on all other nvidia driven cards they arent all failing on their hdmi ports for no reason. I reinstalled everything and used ddu too to try and resolve the issue

    No it doesnt work on my monitor... it would work only using safe mode with standard VGA drivers but fails even on older rtx drivers I tried about 4 different ones.

    I did read it a few times in fact.
    A lot of time members call the Store where they buy a Product so is why I asked.
    "I called the support team" This is not always the EVGA support team.
