Just installed a brand new EVGA 3090 Ti FTW3 HYBRID in my system and everything looks to be working great.

I have installed EVGA Precision X1 and am attempting to control the fans on the radiator. If I uncheck "auto" control, even at the minimum it looks like fan speed is set to 68% or 1500RPM? Can I change the minimum speed? They're quite loud at 1500rpm and seems unnecessary if not gaming. I can control the fan on the card itself no problem and take that down to 0% if I want. I can also turn the radiator fans UP and make them spin faster without issue. Note that RGB control also looks to be working fine as well so I believe I have everything connected correctly.

Replying to my own thread to recognize my own stupidity - this is related to the bios. By default, cards are set to the "OC" bios which has a more aggressive minimum fan curve. I switched to "Normal" and now everything is silent when not gaming. I realized this has been asked multiple times before, but hopefully this question/answer can help future 3090 Ti HYBRID owners/buyers.

Well, since the thread is here... if you've tried overclocking, can I ask what clocks you were able to get?

Haven’t tried. Mostly sprung for the Hybrid for the cooling benefit.

+100 MHz on the core for a 2140MHz clockspeed (can sometimes run +125, but it's mostly unstable), and +500MHz on the VRAM (+650 crashes the PC, and 600 has artifacts). The official EVGA 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra Hybrid XOC VBIOS didn't change the overclock ceiling.

Thanks for the input. So far I'm able to run +120ish core (edit: which brings me to roughly 2040Mhz) and +1200ish mem on my non-Hybrid, but I'll see how changing some thinks affects that. Including trying the XOC VBIOS.

Thank you for posting the solution you found. I’m debating between the evga hybrid and asus strix hybrid. Can I ask what temps do you get for the gpu, memory, and hot spot?

I'm not at the machine right now so can get back to you on Memory/Hot Spot - but ~38-39C idle GPU temp in a modestly warm room (mid-70sF). I know idle temps aren't considered that useful, but I have not pushed it yet after install so will have to report back. For whatever it's worth, this is the coolest any GPU has idled in my setup just comparing to the range of 30XX Founders Editions I upgraded through (3080 -> 3090 -> 3090 Ti)

Thank you. Hope to see your numbers soon. The triple radiator should be able to cool that beast really well.

Was there anything else you had to do to achieve this result? By default, mine was set to Performance mode. I shut down, flipped it to Normal and... I'm still not able to lower the radiator fans below 68%.

Thankfully they're not all that loud but I am wondering if there's something else I should try... like reinstalling X1 or something.

EDIT: Restarting again seems to have fixed it.

Strange. No, I flipped to “Normal” and everything was much quieter right from boot.
