https://www.techpowerup.com/262951/rx-5950-xt-rx-5950-and-rx-5800-xt-new-amd-radeon-skus-reach-regulators

Confirmation of four new Radeon RX 5000-series SKUs came to light as AIB partner AFOX pushed them to regulators at the Eurasian Economic Commission. EEC filings have been a reliable early-sign of upcoming PC hardware. All thee new SKUs are positioned above the Radeon RX 5700 XT launched last year. These include the Radeon RX 5800 XT, the RX 5900 XT, the RX 5950, and the RX 5950 XT. Going by AMD's convention of two SKUs per resolution serving up to differentiated experiences, the RX 5800 XT could be a step up from the RX 5700 XT in offering 1440p high frame-rate AAA performance. This could possibly put it in direct competition with the GeForce RTX 2070 Super. AMD took a similar 2-pronged approach to 1080p, with the RX 5500 XT serving up 1080p at up to 60 fps, while the RX 5600 XT topping it up with a 40-50 percent performance uplift.

The Radeon RX 5950-series is completely new. This could very well be a new large "Navi" silicon, since dual-GPU is dead. Just as AMD carved out the RX 5700 XT, the RX 5700, and the RX 5600 XT, it could carve out the three new SKUs from this silicon. AMD CEO Dr Lisa Su already confirmed that her company is working to upscale the RX 5000-series "Navi" family. The RX 5900-series could be competition for the likes of the RTX 2080 or even RTX 2080 Super. The RX 5950-series could target premium 4K gaming (RTX 2080 Ti). It remains to be seen if the three new SKUs are based on the existing RDNA architecture or the new RDNA2 architecture designed for 7 nm EUV, featuring variable-rate shading.

Looks like AMD is aggressively working on better performing GPUs for 2020. However for AMD to really do well they need much better performance while keeping the prices lower than NVIDIA in my opinion.

So beautiful to read.this post 😢. I almost teared up. Ty. So how about leaking some AMD EVGA boards for us ese.😺

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

The number of people in the comments section that are really, truely holding out hope that AMD will release a card that offers 2080Ti performance for $500..........wow.

I'd expect 2080 Ti (a-chip) level performance to hang around $1000 pretty solidly through the end of 2020, maybe falling off to about $700 by the end of 2021.

Keep in mind this will be optimized 7nm and will have hardware RayTracing support. I believe the 5950XT will trade blows with 2080Ti cost less and use less power doing it. Will it be enough to sway the elite? probably not, but as AMD/Lisa Su promised they are going from the bottom up concurring each segment along the way, and so far that has worked very well in their favor. It may take another couple of generations but they are heading to the top and I relish the thought of AMD bringing Nvidia to its knees like they are doing to Intel. At the very least the consumer is the winner when competition gives us better hardware at a better price.

Maybe you've been out of the loop or you are just trolling. But the 5700XT is already competing with the 2070 Super.

I'm going by the real world benchmarks on 3DMark that say the 2070S scores about 15% higher.   Clearly stock for stock they are closer.

Remember too - according to most data , a majority of users, streamers, and pro gamers are still at 1080p .

So along with partnerships is gaming leagues, gaming consoles ,etc... this generation of cards has done well for them & these next cards will do just as good , if not better.

So even though ,I , you,& we here may always be looking for the big boy cards - at higher resolutions .... AMD seems to be doing well for the audiences they have targeted.

AMD GPUs will be better. Think about it. AMD have CPUs that are competing very well against Intel. Now their GPU performance can only go up. If AMD can bring about close to RTX 2080ti performance at far lower cost that could force NVIDIA to lower pricing. In such a scenario then everyone wins.

I think that's probably their sweet spot for a 2080ti competitor. Dunno if they can get something that'll straight up beat it though.

But if AMD can catch up to Nvidia, there shouldn't be an issue with right?  I mean you guys keep saying how AMD will beat Nvidia and the prices will drop, right?

I say AMD GPU beating the $1,200 Nvidia 2080ti will cost $799.99 no one else did.
Surprises me Nvidia is not putting an effort to bury AMD in the GPU competition. For a company who is ahead of AMD like you stated, Nvidia is pulling an Intel move right now just waiting like a goood doggy.🤣🤣🤣

If that happens, it could be because of anti-trust laws.  Both Intel and Nvidia could be subject to heafty fines like some companies were in the 90s.

I am still calling AMD GPU beating Nvidia 2080ti being sold for $799.99 smackers

When though?  6-10 months from now when Ampere is released?

If Ampere costs $3000, what will it matter?

Mid year '20 it's certainly possible they'll drop a $3K+ Titan that scores 20,000+ in Timespy GPU stock.  That's with the top clock fully unlocked chip and lots expensive ram.

    Maybe $999, matching an A-chip 2080 Ti.

First Nvidia card I ever owned was the  TNT 1 .   It  was amazing  260 FPS  on Quake 2   max settings ...insane  at the time  .    It wasn't going for 1300 dollars  no where near it. But it was definately the best graphics card  for  video gaming that one could purchase at the time.

Back then 128 MEGS of  really  crap ram  would  run you oh I dunno 200 bucks?

How everything else has fallen In price while getting better  ...Meanwhile  "The best" Graphics card  you can get now   is just clownshoe  lvl silly  in price ...and yet   gets bottle necked at  a Resolution that isn't the highest resolution available.     Oh and ps     for 1300 Dollars now you too can play at  1440p  at 70-80 Frames a second on ultra detail  with some really garbage frame times.

(Hey you could  sink 300 into a wc kit   ) or another 1300  for a second "best" card  ...and THEN  well then you still aren't gonna hit 144 frames in most  new games at 1440p  with a playable  Frametime delay...   4k reso?    lol  have fun with that.

This is non sense.   Im  for sure  life  long Nvidia  card  user ...I was there when  Quake 2  Created the  Open GL /Glide war  ... when  WASD was first talked about   ...when   Low Ping Bastards  were cursed for having  amazing  128k  ISDN  connections   and those  insanely over powered sub 180 pings !      But  since the 1080TI  came out with that (stupid) Pricing scheme  im just confused. Granted I  only use my system for video games  and have since the first Diablo game  Q2 /Unreal   Tribes  ...Half Life all that.    I don't  go after crypto currency nor any other use case.      Perhaps  the "best" card now  is worth that kind of money to folks who use the  System  for something other than  multiplayer games.

Otherwise  yea  I Hope  AMD  does come out with something that can legit compete  because this is just stupid .    No i can't take  a hardware snob being a snob over having a 1400 dollar graphics card much less 2 of them.  or 3 or whatever its just ...you did that ? ok  why would you admit it to anyone ?

If it played 4k at 144frames at 8-9ms  frametimes     ...nah it still wouldn't be worth  1400 bucks.      It would then be worth 600-700 dollars  ...would I buy one at that price ? Prolly wait till some kinda sale went down  or get it the following year for 5bills ....but atleast we wouldn't be living in this dumpster fire  of a market.    Im a hardware nerd have been for a very long time.  But this is just dumb.

🤔 Finally a realist individual. So to sum it all up you feel you got robbed which in fact is the truth. I also welcome competition for the prices to be fair but certain people who i dont care to name them🙄 think i am fanboy because im cheering for the underdog to bring.down the prices to a fair competitive level.

My 2080Ti does 16k+ in Timespy GPU and stays above 60fps all the time at 4K with nearly max settings at 50-55C.  It was over $1400.  Next year it will still be worth about $800-1000 used.  Haters gonna hate.
