Has anyone in the last few days had their 3080 just up and die for seemingly no reason? I updated to the latest gaming driver 560.70 on 7/16/24 had no issues until I purchased and started using the latest beta version 19 5 of Davinci Resolve Studio. I had been using the non studio version with no issues before the upgrade. On the Studio version I started to denoise a clip and just when I was about done processing the clip, the fans went from a normal volume to running at 100%. Roughly 3 seconds later I got the Black Screen of Death and the fans went silent. Thinking it was just a driver crash, I could still here audio from Spotify playing, I reloaded the driver using WIN+SHIFT+CTRL+B with no luck. On the next reboot I noticed the red warning led for GPU was on on my motherboard. I tried putting the card in two other systems and still no luck. My old 1070ti is picking up the slack now. I have not

This is the first time I have had any issues with this card and I've used it in everything from gaming, 3D rendering to video processing.

Warranty on it expired back in August so it seems I'm SOL.

Recheck your warranty to make sure it has expired. Otherwise, the only solution is a new or used GPU.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Are you using a DP connector or HDMI?  If DP, you could try a different connector on the GPU. Worth a shot before tossing the card.  Just for the heck of it, I'd even try a different certified DP cable. Unlikely, but why not.
Use DDU in safe mode to uninstall the driver.  https://www.wagnardsoft.com/display-driver-uninstaller-ddu-  Then install the driver of your choice.

Same thing happened with my 3070.  Same issues twice in the past and had it replaced, now on my third card it literally crapped out again today.  Same artifact issues - random green/purple lines and now the dreadful black screen of death.  I barely used this thing and now it just decides it doesn't want to work anymore just when my warranty expired.  Windows have now resorted to disabling the GPU due to "reported problems" (Code 43).  What an absolute joke and disaster.

Since you guys are out of warranty you should try baking the card in the oven to see if you can revive it…

Bake the gpu with the gpu die facing upwards instead of down as shown in the article. Make sure you bake your card in an oven that isn't used for food as well just to be safe.
