Well i'm far down the list 10:02:04 AM but I dont even have the stuff to hook up it up so Now I have to find pump, rad, hoses, reservoir and coolant.
Could use some hints what everyone is going to use and might wait too see what yall use to see how the temps are.

I'm going with 7 radiators in push/pull, 4 pumps, 65 fans. Tubbing is Tygon A-60-G and will be using Mayhems XTR fluid, least when I can order some in

I'm really curious how many blocks actually are going out today/how many they had ready to go.  I'd be shocked if it is north of 500, and not surprised if it was 100 or less.

Since it seems only a few folks posted they got the invite to buy, and the day is closing on the west coast (shipping deadline I think is like 3 or 4), it feels like the number was way less than 100.  I'm thinking like 10s.

I think the number is between 10 and 100 water block only kits were probably available today to ship.  If I recall correctly, it sounded like the Hydro Copper Kingpin was going to be released at around the same time as the hydro copper kit.  If the Kingpin 3090 Hydro Copper is soon to be released, that might be why there was limited numbers of the hybrid version available along with also limited numbers of the water block only kits available today.  Lets see what next week holds.

Also, one more thing is that they only have so many slots to ship out so if that was limited because of other releases already scheduled, then that could have impacted the number of notifications as well.  Hard to say, but atleast they are released and now everyone knows where they are by sign up time/date.  Now the waiting game resumes and another queue to keep an eye on.  My list is full of "no" so it is kinda depressing but it is what it is.  Atleast I got in at a decent time for the water block even with the error messages.

Have a great weekend.

Speaking of, does the Kingpin AIO actually fit other 3090s?  That'd be kind of neat if it does, extra cooling power with a 360 vs 240mm radiator hybrid vs hybrid... or taking a lower tier 3090 & sticking a 360 AIO on it.  Only downside would be you'd need VRM cooling, since the Kingpin VRM heatsinks only work on the KP card.

You should mount the stock AIO on the rear VRAM

Honestly I think that'd be inferior to the setup I have now.  Could be wrong, but I don't think there's any way to test that because the screws only go one way on the AIO mount, I'm not as in to customizing & some of the people on here that have done such crazy things, though I do find them awesome, I won't venture that far.  I want my warranty as intact as possible until I ditch the card in probably 2 years from this last January.

I don't see why they'd even bother launching the block if they didn't have at least a hundred.  It could also be that their shipping was heavy enough today that they didn't send out all the invites for the blocks they have available.
Similar bit happened to my Kingpin card, when it was first supposed to ship, the label got torn off, so it was returned to eVGA, and they couldn't ship it back out because there was no more allocation for the day on shipping out stuff I guess.  That was a whole ordeal though, originally they cancelled the order because of the shipping label thing but I got ahold of them & made sure they knew I 100% wanted the card so I wasn't going to accept it being cancelled & refunded, even if they would allow me re-purchase after the refund was in my account.  I'm glad they worked it out with the warehouse to get the card that originally shipped sent back out to me without having to redo things.
But if today was a heavy queue day, which I have no idea if it was or not, it's possible they didn't have room to ship all the blocks they had available at once.  It could also be that because it was Elite Members only, they had a lower number of blocks initially available to ship with more on the way.  We'll never know unless we get some insight in to how many were actually at their warehouse today.

But seriously, if they had less than 100, why even launch the product.  I get that it's a niche product for a niche card, but that would still be absurd knowing they've sold at least 1-2 thousand Kingpins on the queue system at this point (that's a guess, but I'd wager it's pretty accurate), only offering blocks for less than 10% of what you've sold knowing people that buy Kingpins are high-end users that would want to liquid cool their card if they're not doing LN2 etc isn't a business decision I see eVGA making.  I wouldn't be surprised if a LOT of the orders before me & the other guy were bots, that will hopefully get rejected, which means the blocks will roll over to the next people.  I don't see how it would be possible to get in much quicker than the guy that was at 10:00:05, given the Captcha literally takes at least 2-3 seconds to spin & go to check mark so you can submit.  At least it always has for me on any "I am not a robot" checker thing.

Any blocks on EBay yet? Lol

Edit: Nope, still no blocks on EBay.  Good.  Hopefully they're going to people that are actually going to use them.

I think there's a chance there will be more volume Monday.

Someone brought this up in PMs, and I thought I'd post it here:

So if those numbers track & apply to my temps, I will be seeing memory temps drop in to the 40s on the 3 iCX temps, and my GPU temp should drop at least ~3-5C more.  Going to be very interesting to see the results.

I really hope that 22% drop applies to my Memory Junction Temp as well, cuz going from 66-70C down to 50-56C would be awesome.

All I do is watercooling, and $300 is insanely overpriced for an Asetek made block. There's not even an upgraded backplate included. You could get a reference PCB block with an actively cooled backplate for less than this.

EVGA knows there will be demand for this product, so why not easily take advantage of that? We've been waiting for quite a while already.

Wonder if they just wanted to get ahead of Optimus? They're the only other ones working on a block for the KPE.

I'm sure the Optimus block will be quite a bit better too and with a quality backplate.  Unfortunately, we still have a bit of a wait for that block.

It looks like this will be a very slow drip (hopefully incorrect) so I would assume many of us at the tail-end of the list will end up with an Optimus block anyway. If the Optimus comes or is up for pre-order before my HC notify to purchase shows up, I'll be exiting the HC queue and waiting for Optimus.

The Optimus block will be ~$450 from what I've heard.  I don't want better temperatures THAT bad considering the temps my card already runs at... so not an option for me.

They said 6-8 weeks at the beginning of April/end of March for strix blocks and “a few weeks after for KP” the race is on to see whether they can beat EVGA to my 32second sign up spot...

If I remember correctly, it took ~3 months to deliver the first batch of FTW blocks?
So worst case it could be after the launch of the next-gen card?

Looks like we both beat quite a few people to the punch, yet I do not see either of our names on the list. That's definitely not OK.

The list is only as good as people SELF reporting....

Ah, thanks for responding. I thought it was an official list EVGA had posted someplace. I did not realize it was a self-reporting list. I appreciate the response.

Here's to hoping we don't have to wait until our K|NGP|N GPUs are obsolete before a water block is available for them.

I understand the issues with not being able to ship sufficient GPU's, chip shortage is real, but this is ridiculous .. is a stupid WB, why you need to wait in a queue for it I don't understand.

Because they need to manufacture just enough that they aren't losing money on them with unsold units given its a niche product, and unfortunately we live in a world where literally anything in short supply will be scalped. That said they should have at least added a reserve/partial payment preorder a few months ago to give them a better idea on what the demand would ultimately be rather than a panicked notify button.
