So I got the Kingpin Hybrid yesterday and I am really disappointed. The card is only able to overclock to +800 on memory and +115 on Core. When I put +900 on memory I start to get artifacts and strange colours and with +1000 I get the same Plus Crash in Timespy Port Royal etc. I have tested lots of different RTX 3090 so far and each of those cards was able to push +1000 or more on the memory without artifacts crashes etc. Also I havent seen a single Kingpincard that doesnt +1000 on memory so far. Is this a faulty card?
The card also has the known power draw issue. I dont get over 440-480 watts max in Timespy and other Benchmarks like Port Royal.
I have the powerslider all the way to 121% using the LN2 Bios
In Games I see arount 420 to 440 Watts max. Perfcap in GPU Z is green and says power everything above 440 watts, sometimes even lower. Is there any fix so far?
Should I RMA the card?
thanks guys

exactly the same here, I dont get above 440 in games, timesspy max was 480 for a second or so but most of the time between 420 and 460, in games not more than 420 to max 440 **** is wrong with those cards

No issues here, Constantly hit 500w on OC bios sometimes 505, Have not tried LN2 Bios, I do have the Hydro Copper Version but Prepar3d Flight simulator and Warzone have both seen 500w with maxed gpu at 4k.

Could you guys try enabling one NVVDD and one MSVDD dipswitch on the back of the card? Also when overclocking, do not touch the v/f curve. Just do regular OC offset + dipswitches.

The Hydro Copper Versions dont have this issue, its the Hybrid Version only that are affected

How do I do that? Also which one of the switches should i enable?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV6OB5wxtNw&t=132s I found this video that shows the dipswitches. Do one NVVDD and one MSVVDD and add +105 (or the offset yours is stable) to core and check power draw. If you test RTX Quake 2 on the LN2 BIOS, its gonna draw 500W even at stock clocks.

Thanks, but is that safe for 24/7 use to enable the dips?

Yes it's safe. It allows the card to draw a little bit more power which increases internal clocks = more perf.

Ah I am dumb. I didnt read far enough back. Weird they have issues but the Hydros do not.

You should definitely not be seeing PWR Perfcap in GPU-Z at anything below 520w with the LN2 bios. I have the same issue, I've given up and am forced to use the XOC bios as my daily driver. I live in Canada and there's no way I'm risking lost/stolen/damaged in transit with the GPU climate the way it is... even if the shipment were insured I'd still be out a GPU and have to re-join the rat-race.

Just got my kingpin hybrid today, is messing with the dip switches the only way to get the card to hit the correct power limits per bios and not start throttling at 430-440wish?

Deltas mean literally nothing. The card is already at a much higher clock than other 3090s out of the box. You need to look at your absolutes.

true but only for the core clocks, memory clock is not higher than on other 3090 card out of the box, so 800 mhz is very dissapointing. However I sent my card in for rma because of the powerdraw issue and hope the new kingpin i get from RMA will be better in overclocking

So can you guys using the classified tool what settings are 100 Percent safe to use 24/7 at gaming using the classified tool? I want my card to be able to pull 520 Watts which it can't without either using the dipswitches or the classified tool, but im not sure which settings are safe to use. Also I dont want to disable OCP. Thanks

Necro on this thread. Just wanted to confirm safety for daily driving with the two dipswitches --- assuming one isn't being a dipsh*t at the same time, I think it should be safe. But, been a few months since you posted - did your card melt or what?

Power draw depends on several factors. Different games and benchmarks will have different power draw. When you use PX1, are you hitting the voltage limit?
