RTX 2080 TI FTW3 Ultra Hybrid to Custom Loop?

I just finished building a new machine and long story short, I want to cool my GPU and CPU in a custom loop instead of having AIO liquid coolers for each. I looked at all of EVGA's RTX 2080 waterblocks and none of them are compatible with my model (11G-P4-2484-KR). I contacted support who told me none of their water blocks are compatible with this card. I just find that incredibly hard to believe. After all, you can buy the same hybrid kit and install it on an air cooled FTW3 model. Isn't that all this card is, only it comes with the hybrid kit pre-installed?

    Hmm. That is odd they do have a waterblock for the RTX 2080ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming, they sell it on the Hydro Copper card. However it does appear that they are not selling any standalone blocks for the RTX 2080ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming. You can always trey a waterblock from a 3rd party such as EKWB.

    Yep, check with EK to see if they make one.

    It's my understanding that the EVGA 2080 ti FTW3 Ultra Hybrid (11G-P4-2484-KR) is just an EVGA 2080 ti FTW3 Ultra (11G-P4-2487-KR) with EVGA's 2080 ti FTW3 hybrid kit installed. 

    Regardless, EKWB now has a waterblock (in two variants) that works with all the EVGA 2080 ti FTW3 cards.

    I originally purchased a 2080 ti FTW3 Ultra, then installed EVGA's hybrid kit on it. Later, I converted that setup to a full custom loop using the above linked EKWB Acetal waterblock. Absolutely no issues...

    I see absolutely no reason why your card, with the pre-installed hybrid kit, wouldn't work. The PCB layout should be identical to the the FTW3 'Ultra' and 'Gaming' variants. I don't think it's reasonable to assume EVGA changed the PCB layout just for the Hybrid FTW3 variant.

    It will be the same.. just keep the hybrid cooler as you'll need it when the time comes to re sale or to RMA the card. You need to ship the card back the same why you got it or they wont accept it..or charge you for that cooler.
