In the process of building a new computer and neither of the fans on my RTX 2070 are not coming on. Using MSI's Afterburner app it shows that my GPU is at 97% - 100%. My computer is randomly shuting down and the starting up less than 5 seconds later. When it comes back up it won't last even 5 minutes before it shuts off again. The card using a 6 pin and 8 pin power plug which I plugged into my Corsair 750 power supply. The card lights up so it's getting power. Any suggestions?

Uninstall MSI and install PX1 to see what's going on. Also, you might need to check and see that the GPU fan's cable is fully seated in its header. I've seen someone else make sure of that and had their fans working again.

MSI Afterburner cant control all fan of the nvidia evga card so use precision x1 to control all of them because sound like overheating because msi after burner dont control all fan evga precision x1 is for evga card so can fix this issue

I agree with the suggestions above. When you post with an issue please make sure you also give us all of your system specs.

Thanks, I'll switch to Precision X1 tonight and see what happens. When you talk about the GPU's fan cable I'm assuming you mean the 6 point and 8 point plugs that go come from the power supply to the video card? I'll double check that and I might even move to another port on the power supply. The video card lights up but I don't know if it's getting that power through the motherboard or the powers supply on the video card. I'm not exactly sure how I can verify that it's not an issue with the power supply or the cord from the power supply to the video card so I can eliminate that being an issue. Here are some of the specs in case it helps. Motherboard: MSI MPG Z390 Case: NZXT 510 Cooler: MasterLiquid LC240E Power: Corsair CX750 CPU: Intel I7 9700k RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB Drive: Kingston A400 240GB M.2 and Samsung 860 SSD 1TB Video: EVGA RTX 2070

No, they are asking about the Video Cards - Fan's cable - plugged into the PCB of the Video card You Need to look at Temp of the GPU - by Design the fans only start around 50 C ... for "silent mode" (default factory setting) Your using 2- separate PCIe power cables from PSU to GPU ? Sometimes the PCIe power cables get tight before they are fully seated, sometimes the cables are bad from the factory (if you PSU came with extras - test other PSU outputs & cables)

Sorry for the newbie questions and bare with me as I'm not in front of the computer right now but looking over the pictures of the video card online, I'm not seeing where there are any exposed cables that I can get to. I'm guessing that would mean they are covered up by something and I would need to remove cover on the card to see if there is something unplugged?

We all started as new to technology -- No Worries ---> Ask away, there are plenty of Helpful members on the EVGA Forums Looking at the edge of the card [somewhat between the PCB & Cooler] you can probably see the fan connection -- you may have to remove the GPU first (always unplug your PSU first - before adding or removing any item from MB) Which RTX 2070 do you have ?

This is the card I purchased: EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC GAMING Graphics Card I have one cable going from the PSU to the video card but the cable has two connection points on it. Both connections are the 6+2 connectors so I used one 6 point and the other as the 6+2 point. The card takes a 6 point and 8 point connector....which BTW the instructions are misleading because it said to use a 6 point "or" 8 point and not 6 point "and" 8 point. That lead me to believe it only needed one or the other but after asking someone local to me what they thought he told me to plug in both. I'll try to get a picture of my card to post.

Yes, you need both Power Plugs plugged in, not one or the other. That's what they are for.
As for the fan header, it's on the PCB somewhere.

Update...When I was able to get in front of the computer I made sure the connections from Power Supply to Video card were all good, I even moved the plug to a different port on the power supply. Still no luck. Called EVGA support and went back over the things I had already done in addition to removing and reseating the video card as well as tried another PCI slot. We even went as far as completely removing the video card and tried using the built in video card on the motherboard. Once I removed the RTX 2070 it stopped shutting down and restarting my computer. So, after all of that I'm getting a new replacement sent to me by B&H where I bought it from. Should be here in a couple days and hopefully this one will work as expected. I'll let you know how that one goes.
