Hello. Just last night my computer started encountering a weird error where the monitor consistently cycled between normal functioning (6-8s), "corrupted" (10-30s), and restarting. The "corrupted" state was usually solid black, though occasionally it would be another solid color and very rarely I'd see the "space invader"-type artifacts over my normal screen before the monitor restarted. I've tried driver versions 417.35 (the latest) and 417.22, as well as the hotfix 417.58. I've also updated my BIOS and even did a clean install of Windows - no dice.

I'm fairly certain the problem lies with the 2070, since I'm currently using my old 970 with the same system/monitor/cable/drivers and it's working fine. Still, I thought I might as well ask for help before deciding to RMA the thing.

System Specs, if they help:
Motherboard: ASRock Z370 Extreme4
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2x8 GB, DDR4 3200
GPU: EVGA RTX 2070 XC Ultra (8GB GDDR6)
Secondary GPU: EVGA GTX 970 (4GB)
PSU: Rosewill Photon 750W (80+ Gold)
C: SanDisk 960GB SSD
D: WD Blue 4TB HDD
E: Asus Blu-Ray Drive
OS: Windows 10 Home 10.0.16299
Monitor: Acer Nitro VGF270UP

Have you updated the ASRock Z370 Extreme4 Bios?
Or have you Reset the MB Bios since you installed your RTX Card?
Have you tested with No OC on the CPU and No OC on the Memory on your Motherboard?
Can you post an image of The "corrupted" state
Are you using EVGA PX1 or MSI AB?
Windows 10 Home 10.0.16299 = Version 1709 (OS build 16299) and might be to old of an OS for the RTX Graphics Cards.

I updated the motherboard's BIOS as part of troubleshooting (from P3.20 to P3.30). I haven't attempted to overclock any part of the system yet and don't have PX1 or Afterburner installed. The OS version I reported is what I have now, which must have come straight off the install disk, but I was using a newer version when I first started having problems. I'll update Windows back to the latest version and see if that changes anything.

The "corrupted" state is different every time so I'm not sure what to call it, really. It's usually a black screen like some others are reporting but occasionally it's another (random) solid color and very rarely I'll see the "space invader" pattern below:

    Anyway, thanks for your help!
