I just want to make sure I'm reading this right. I RMA'd a GTX 980 SC and on my product page it shows my replacement as a GTX 1070 SC. I am not complaining if that is true, I will have to by a block for a GTX 1070 before I can install it in my new build. I bought a GTX 980 Ti Classified from a member of this forum a week ago and am running it now. What would be the better card to run my system the 980 Ti Classified or the 1070 SC?

    What is the Part Number of your GTX 1070 SC Graphics Card?
    The 1080 400-HC-5189-B1 Water Block is the Bomb, I have 3 of them with 2 installed.

    I hope it's true. But I'll have to wait and see. I need to go ahead and order a block so it will get here soon, but I'm afraid to spend the money till I'm sure.

    Well before you install a Water Block you need to install the Card and Test it out and do some compare Benchmarks using Fire Strike 1.1 and 3DMark 11 to see which one gives you better performance.

    The part # from my products page is 08G-P4-5173-KR. The GTX 980 Ti has a lot of coil whining when it gets under load, even thou it's water cooled. Its a little irritating. I'm planning on passing that one to my wife, she doesn't care as long as the game works when she turns it on.

    The coil whining could be caused by your Power Supply.
    What is the Make and Model of your PSU and How old is it?
    The EVGA Hydro Copper Waterblock for GTX 1080 400-HC-5189-B1 Water Block is not in stock anywhere ATM.

    I went to the products page to order the block 1080 400-HC-5189-B1 and they had an auto notify button. I guess I'll have to look for a different block.

    My PSU is a OCZ ZX 1250 watt gold and it's about 4 years old. The 980 SC I pulled out about a week ago was under water and it didn't have any coil whine at all.

    @seadoge8, I can confirm that your 980 is being replaced with a 1070 SC Black Edition.

    Thank you Brandon for the conformation. I'll go ahead and order me a block from EK they have them in stock. I really would like a Hydro cooper but I can't wait for them to come back into stock. Thank you again.
