Hello, I just got the Rtx 3080 XC3 Ultra Gaming card. I was testing everything when I noticed that the LED on the backplate won't turn on. I installed PX1 and after an firmware update the problem persist. Changing the led settings on PX1 only affects to the side LED. Fresh install, updated drivers and everything new. Using an Asus TUF X570 Pro Wifi Any advice? Should I send a RMA? Thanks

I have this Exact same issue, I have tried several versions of PX1 software and none of them work. the only RGB lighting that comes on is exactly yours, EVGA

If it were me, wouldn’t RMA just for the rgb issues. The card works fine.

Funny, I just posted a similar thread. My issue is the side LED of a 3090 RGB. It was working and now only has one. I would say performance is unaffected but I seem to have the uneven power draw issue as well. I am wondering if I am at the beginning of a long slow failure cycle.
I added the 10 year warranty to mine :)

Exactly, this isn't a good sign. In my case it didn't work from the start, so maybe you can check something related to power. Maybe checking you PCI-E cables from the PSU and making shure you're using two outlets and not one with a split cable. And don't allow PX1 to load with the system, just to check if is messing with the card profile.

If it were me, wouldn’t RMA just for the rgb issues. The card works fine.
I get your point but come on, I'm paying for an overpriced card. It should work as intended. This is a red alert for me. Quality control? None...

If the LEDs don't turn on after shutting down everything, disconnecting your PSU and turning back on I'm very sure this is not software related since I did a firmware update and everything should work. Like I said before, quality control here is almost none.

I'm sorry if that last thing is offensive to you, but coming from big company like EVGA this shouldn't happen. I know there are stock issues, but selling faulty cards is not ideal. But hey, that's just a comment.

Have you tried reseating the card in the PCIE slot, or reseating the power connectors? Can you check and see if any of the wires on the card might be loose or possibly pinched? Checking after taking the card out, before reseating, would be a good idea.

wait, that card has back rgb? I am rmaing my 2nd one due to fan issue, but it never had back rgb, and I have x1 with the led lights software installed. Only the EVGA ever lit up on 2 cards. Part Number: 12G-P5-4861-KL
