So i have the 1070 FTW, and have seen i can upgrade.

Let me see... I turn in my old(new) 1070 FTW.. EVGA approves the upgrade, I pay 99$  and EVGA sends me a new 1070 FTW2 ICX ?
So this is a step up basically for everyone that has an eligible card ?  or is it a retro fit ?

Next question,
Will it come in a full retail box(if not a retro fit)
If its new in retail box.. will it come with the free game code ?    Technically we are paying for it... so game code can be included.

Qne more question... If i were to purchase the EVGA CLC 280, would my current 1070 FTW link up with it for RGB color control, like is being touted with the 1070 FTW2 ICX ?

On a side note.... EVGA, make an aftermarket PWM fan hub(see Silverstones 1-8) that allows for software control like on the  DG-87.

Thanks EVGA... keep moving forward.. dont stall... Rev this thing up !

CPU  Intel i7 6700K @ 4.0 GHz

GPU  EVGA GTX 1070ti FTW2
MEM Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 3000 2X8GB
PSU  EVGA Supernova 850 G2
CASE Thermaltake View 31 TG

The upgrade has to be approved first, then you send in your card, they verify, then they ship you the iCX card.

It's a new card. The ACX PCB isn't the same, so slapping an iCX cooler on it would do nothing for the missing sensors on the ACX vs the iCX.

    No game code.

Most (if not all) of the above questions are spelled out on the upgrade page - http://www.evga.com/icxupgrade/

No idea about the RGB linking. Conceivably you'd set each unit to the same color scheme in their independent programs (assuming the CLC has it's own program like EVGA's mice do).

It is a branx new card. Brand new box. All ewuipment and it resets the 90 step up window. This isnt a step up, it is an upgrade, so it is handled differently than a step up.

Please refer to the icx upgrade thread, as all of these answers are answered nearly every single day more than once.

No game code is included. That is full retail prices from what I understand.

The page www.evga.com/icxupgrade explains everything and answers those questions directly. Please take the time to read the page as it explains the process beginning to end.

IMO it's also not very clear, but you also pay the shipping BACK to EVGA.  "Free return shipping" sounded to me like I don't pay shipping to return the card to EVGA, but I already paid the $99...so factor that into your price as well

They bury it way in the middle of their terms and conditions.

That's what the $99 is for. Covers the shipping back, upgrade and shipping of new card. At least that's what it seems like. Complete upgrade for 99 and potential step up to next level card within 90 days.

nope - it's $99 and shipping back to evga for a replacement.

The $99 includes the shipping back to us, though

I know this because my card is packed to ship back, but they gave me no label.

and this from the T&C (buried):

After receiving the RMA number, participants must ship their qualifying ACX 3.0 graphics card(s) to EVGA.
    • Participants must ship their qualifying ACX 3.0 graphics card(s) prior to receiving their iCX Upgrade graphics card. The EVGA Cross-ship RMA option and EVGA Advanced RMA (EAR) options are not available for the iCX Upgrade Program. No exceptions.
    • Participants are responsible for any shipping costs and materials to ship their ACX 3.0 product to EVGA. Tracking numbers and shipping insurance are not required, but are recommended.
Gonna cost me another $20+ from NJ with insurance

It will cost you almost €15, if you keep it under 2KG. You can look it up on the PostNL site.

they say in the email not to include it, but I dont think it matters if you ship it back in that box - it just means they wont return that box to you
