Please help! I have a 850W G5 and I run out of the 8-pin PCIe ports (). Can I use the "SATA1/2/3" port to power a GPU or a RISER? I saw that there are 6-pin to 6-pin PCIE cables online for sale. Can I put such cables into the SATA1/2/3 ports and get 75w out of it for the GPU/Riser? Thank you in advance.

    Quick question, are you using a PCI-E in the Second CPU slot, and on the other end, it has the two 8 pin connectors?

    You can get power from there to power-up your GPU/Riser.  You can use the sata cable connection BUT it is not safe.  It will work but the sata connectors are not design to handle higher amps.  You can get a 6pin to 6pin cable or make a new one from your sata cable.
