Opolis For asteroids I have been running only CPU tasks. I think with Asteroids the CPU and GPU tasks are much closer in points than some other projects where GPUs dominate. Could be wrong though...
11 of the project's top 20 hosts do not have a GPU at all. Unless they've been without GPU work longer than CPU tasks, I would say this supports your theory. http://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/top_hosts.php

I was flying all day yesterday, and will be working in PEI Canada for a few days. Hopefully can get caught up in the forum by Sunday. Yes I saw the planned maintenance for Asteroid and figured there was time to see how well they came back online after it and make a change in plans for potm if needed. Was thinking about the 13th of December to start potm that should slot well it looked like.

Looking at the sign ups for TZC, I am estimating approximately 10 days for the first team to reach 200,000,000 (This allows some wiggle for points estimates being off). This puts the end being around the 11th or 12th, then we have the PG challenge starting the 18th, (the 17th for Bunkering) Then Christmas vacations and such. So my thought is Asteroids CPU tasks 00:00 UTC the 12th- until 00:00 UTC16th this will put us at a 4 day POTM, or we could move it to Jan. Thoughts?

11-15 Dec is fine, we could run Asteroids CPU tasks at first then once TZC is over add our GPUs. No need for Bunkering on our own POTM IMO. Also you cannot Bunker on PG challenges. Any Task Downloaded before the start Time and Date will not count.

It is nice that PG does not allow Bunkering in their Challenges.

So for Dec. it is Asteroids the 11th - 15th PBDJ Don's choice, is this correct? If so I will update the front page list.

The 11th maybe to close to the TZC, is 18 to 22 open? But then 18-21 December is PG's Winter Solstice Challenge both GPU *Best and CPU. But Asteroids sounds good to me, maybe X-Mass Week 25-29 Dec.

Was thinking Maybe just a 4 day run 00:00 UTC Dec 13 to 00:00 UTC 17 that will leave Saturday open to get equipment switched over for PG challenge at a leisurely pace. Would rather leave the week of the 25th open for vacation and down time.

We could even skip December. Nothing has been selected so if we pick PG and run it at the same time 18-21 December as for Decembers POTM. PPS-Sieve is Both GPU and CPU and starting the 18th this Years TZC would be over. So I vote for PrimeGrid for Decembers POTM. Dates 18-21 December Start Time 16:28:00 and End Time 3 days Later and close out 2017. Note: 11/23/2017 20:00 (UTC) - 11/26/2017 19:59 (UTC) will be the last Sprint for 2017 over on Formula Boinc.

I would be fine with this as December will most likely be a busy month on and offline. And I vote Asteroids for January 8-12

I have had a work trip come up for the middle 2 weeks of January and will not be able to run a POM but can remote into my machines to have them working If someone would like to step in for January and I can shoot for February. Edit - I can set up for something like the 24th to the 28th if we want to do another project besides PG this month.
