If i were in Your position, i'll keep 790 and invest money to new GPU and CPU. CPU's on lga 775 are now costs less than new platform cpu's. Series 7xx still have something to show. I planned to stay with my platform until new generation enter on (I8-I9 ? or something else). Now i will just enjoy my platform, by upgrading it to maximum and making new revision of lc.
However, decision is Yours...

Re:Project NIGRORIS - Build Log 2010/03/21 13:12:57 (permalink)
Still alive modders;)

Few days waiting and i get what i want - black mat paint. The work go forward.
Back panel on motherboard trace is done in 50%. I only must working on outside part with switches. Next week will shows what i making. In days, i must reorganized my lightning. I decided to use led light. Light strips what You can look up in some post now are left. I've just need more light. And here it is - back lightning dragon logo in few pictures.

Inside. White led strip and construction connecting to trace by some screws. Inside i must put background to hide construction (still in progress).

Motherboard trace with all panel. I still must connect this 2 parts (construction and front) with glue and working on sides this panel (cosmetic works). Like you can see i finished paint motherboard trace, Now it's black mat ;)

Another photo without room light. Now effects making by tese leds are more expressive. On left pictures You see my nowdays revision. I written about it in first post. good point to use some electric...

Back panel on drive bays 5.25'' with my project's logo. It's just painted and still will be drying. I used two paints, black mat and high gloss black.

And the end i shows You my new radiators: Feser Xchanger 240 and 480.

And the photo with connection these two rads. Loot of bitspower stuff... You can see also bitspower thermal sensor.

One more shoot from the distance.

What's the next?
I will must working hard on outside panel with switches and electronics. In forward i also working on ligh system on back 5.25 drive bays panel (logo NIGRORIS). It will be useing led lights and i'll try making magnetic holders. Durning near days i will be waiting for my new cpu waterblock Koolance 360 rev.1.1. Last thing what i must making is bottom under motherboard. Ofcourse there are loot of cosmetic works.
Festina Lente like people say and they have absolutely right. I'm not haste, but step by step walk forward with this project. Thank's for interesting this thread and spying my new revision

This build is looking great.  The lit up logo is awesome and the drain valve is a good idea.

You may want to try Fiberglass cloth sleeving some day.  Fiberglass cloth has a very nice look and feel to it, fabric-like smooth, very flexible, and no gloss.  Fiberglass cloth is much stronger and heat resistant than plastics, so you don't have to worry when you add heatshrink or scrape a sharp edge.  It's also completely opaque, you can't see the wires inside.

Examples here: http://cableorganizer.com/heavy-wall-fiberglass-sleeving/ and http://www.buyheatshrink.com/braidedsleeving/fiberglass-sleeving.htm

I'm fortunate to have a surplus shop nearby that sells the stuff by the foot.  Also recommend Teflon insulated wires.

Re:Project NIGRORIS - Build Log 2010/03/29 14:14:40 (permalink)
In last weekend i made holder to my side panel with logo nigroris. It'll only left to paint it and mounting everything in this side.
Down here I set some photos. Excuse me for quality, but i've shoot it with haste. I put soon much more better pictures. The end is really near...

Ok. It looks not good. All entire place, behind this panel will be hide by milk plexi cling, like in dragon logo. I must put screws in these holes. The panel is set with two parts. It gives me chance to dismantle it.

Another picture. Near perspective...

The point of this post. Holder in all presents. I used magnets to connecting side panel with drve bays wall. All holder have holes to mounting what i want in drive bays. Now it no painting. I scrached plexi surface to prepare paint ground. You can also see another part. I don't write about it before. Next time i will presents it. Now i can say, that is another holding part to mounting bitspower fillport. It's presents on this picture and i made 2 these parts. To the left and right side. I've just like symmetry. The led strip light is mounting by tape for now. After painting i will put everything together.

I still waiiting for some parts like koolance 360 cpu block. And still don't know what chose - 470 or 480 in sli. To much devour power.... or maybe wait to another series? What a time....

No, this is not koolance ball valve. I bought this part in my country. Here is the link to the most popular cooling shop in my country with that ball valve:
http://www.cooling.pl/zawor-kulowy-2-x-g14,produkt,551631.html

You can also use this koolance part. It's the same part, but have better presence

Here i am. Excuse me for post by post. I hope the administrators understanding it and forgive me?

Still can get fermi from evga brand in my country. Delaying make me . However, i decide to not wait more and gear on my new project in beta version. I hope after 5 may, i can run with full version of my project (with fermi on board ).

Ok let's to the point. The last steps of my worklog. 2 days i was tryed to put all together. Belive me it was hard work. The most harder was been sinked loop. one and half hour i tortured with this. After this time my " witcher dancing" with 40 kg case, gave some results. Really hard work...

Front of my case with mounted pump and tubes conecting 2 rads. There are here lot of cables.... but they will be hiding.

Here it's the mainboard - 780i  armored. You can see also new cpu waterblock. Believe or not but all this stuff weigh 6 kg.

The dark side of all project. I suposed You know that pain with puting all these cables right? I know....

Ok and now full
PROJECT NIGRORIS
in beta version.

Have enjoy

I will making film soon.
Regards and good day modders

Was it hard to tighten all the compression fittings around the CPU?  What size/thickness tubing is that?

Yes it was hard enigma to connect all this fittings near the CPU. Without 45 degree fittings i can't do that. Especially if you have short range of tube. I used 1/2'' ID 3/4'' OD tube with 1/8'' wall.

Thank You guys.
I shoot some fresh pictures in dark. I hope the photos have better quality than before
Other side i still waiting for my Evga 470 an koolance block. Until i get this the nigroris will be in beta version.

And the end i show You back panel with switches. I don't show it yet. Four switches give me possibility to power on and off these components: logo bitspower, logo nigroris, two noiseblockers and light under reses.
