Does this fix any of the fan revving problems that seem to become more and more frequent?

I would not recommend installing this. It appears to have completely bricked my pc. PC was completely stable, then within 30 seconds of updating PX1, I got blue screen of death, then another BSOD, and now my pc won’t even boot to bios - just a black screen.

Yeah do NOT download this version. According to tech support, it fried my card (for a second time), which now needs to be RMA’d. This is going to impact my livelihood, as I desperately need my pc to function today for work, which ain’t happening. I am extremely discouraged, and I have lost my trust in EVGA’s products (all of my graphics cards for something like 20 years now have been EVGA).

Yeah do NOT download this version. According to tech support, it fried my card (for a second time), which now needs to be RMA’d. This is going to impact my livelihood, as I desperately need my pc to function today for work, which ain’t happening. Working for me. Just booted up the 3080 ftw3 for the first time, installed latest drivers. Rebooted. PX1 automatically updated firmware (fans spun 100% in the process the process) and so far, so good.

Historically, X1 Precision has always been buggy, whether it was with my old gtx 780 or current rtx 3090. Two biggest issues that never seem to get fixed:
1) Sometimes after loading it up, the Auto fan or the "Fan Curve Control" (what the heck is the difference between these anyway??) can appear phantom grayed out, even though they are actually on. You can tell they are in a phantom state because if you click the HWM tab and back again to VGA1, they suddenly show enabled! Heaven forbid, you don't want to save the settings when they are in a phantom state because that will save auto fan control as off. Very confusing, but if you know how the phantom behaves, you can deal with it and it won't bite you.
2) X1 likes to crash silently after locking and unlocking Windows, especially if left locked overnight. This has gotten to be such a problem, that I had to write a special script that is ran every time I unlock Window to ensure X1 is still loaded, and if not, to load it back up. It works beautifully.

1.1.3.1 seems to have resolved the crashes reported before, the OSD is also working again. It is an unsigned executable so it triggers a windows user access control warning upon start. More annoying is the long wait time - about 38s between start and display of the pain windows on an idle system with ample capacity. The tool doesn't consume noticeable CPU time but seems to wait for some event. It happens every time when started. The same as been observed with 1.1.3 / 1.1.2 and 1.1. at least. I don't have experience with older versions, maybe someone else can comment but this should be looked into.

I would disregard what Cidd said. It's unsubstantiated. Cidd created a thread on the subject, but was extremely vague and gave some information which doesn't make sense and is somewhat odd. When people asked for Cidd to explain, Cidd just disappeared. Basically Cidd said that EVGA determined that the warranty is void during the process, which makes zero sense; and Cidd didn't argue it, which means that Cidd knows that Cidd did something wrong.

I had an issue last night where when opening X1 (114 version) after a reboot it would show all my settings were reset. Though when I would open Afterburner, they would still be set then opening X1 again, they would be showing the correct settings. I need to do some more testing tonight, but it appears that even just reopening X1 a second time fixes the problem and the settings are always correct, just not showing ... so kinda weird.

Now that 1.1.4 is out, can anybody else confirm firmware changes? GameArk
So after updating precision x to latest version. I am getting at least 10fps more with 3090ftw ultra. Anyone else seeing any improvement or I am just bugging out.
This would be quite the firmware update.
