I've seen people use Precision X with Alienware laptops, but ultimately you probably should not. Instead I would reccomend MSI Afterburner which is similar.

Also, this post should probably be in the EVGA Software thread.

EDIT: Don't make another though as an admin will likely move this one there.

As stated, this thread is in the wrong section of the forum.

Precision X does not officially support any mobile graphics cards. It may or may not function correctly and all features may or may not be functional. Use at your own risk.

I will move this to EVGA software. EVGA did state that Precision X Mobile is for the SC17 laptop. To get it, you must have the SC17 laptop if I am not mistaken.

Yes everyone, I posted on the software section but no response so I tried here.

There is now a PX "MOBILE" that IS for laptops that just came out recently.

    Check it out, looks nice.

Precision x, as stated, is for the SC17 laptop and evga stated to get it, you must purchase the SC17 laptop. If you are willing to buy the SC17, you get the software, but I don't know if there is going to be a standalone version, since EVGA software is going to the EVGA laptop from the factory.

Like you said, check it out: "You must have a valid product registered to your account to download PrecisionX Mobile." precision X Mobile isn't for alienware

Threads have been merged. If you post, give it time for people to answer. 2 hours ago this thread was started. Not everyone that is knowledgeable in the software comes in during the middle of the work day, so it usually takes time for them to spot the treads.

Valid Product Registered. Yep, I read that.... I have an R2 with a Nvidia 970 mobile. I would think that would suffice.

Hey, I'll try downloading it and get back to you and then we can be done with it.

Your Alienware laptop is not an EVGA product.

Use HWInfo to adjust the fans on your alienware laptop. This guide should be helpful... https://web.archive.org/w...ficial-aw-fan-control-
