It scores your components against the Same components from other people.
An i9 score will be compared to other i9 scores and Not a 10980xe for instance .
It tests your whole system .
If you look at "pc status" top line , this is exactly what it says .....compared to the SAME components .

Not super familiar with userbenchmark, what is it scoring against? Like similar systems? And it looks like it’s taking into account storage speeds into overall scores? Is this a complete system score?

I don’t understand how or why storage speeds should be weighted in a benchmark score unless that’s what your specifically benching for? ie CrystalDisk or similar.

Interestingly, RAM appears to not be a factor.

Surely faster RAM makes everything else run faster. GPU, SSD etc.
When I get home, ill run the same bench, same settings with 2666 RAM and 4266 RAM at XMP and we will see .

Ehh not always. Depends on timings and the bench, but say 4800 c19 doesn’t always score better than 4133 c12 with tight secondaries and whatnot.

I can assure you my 4266 will let everything perform much faster than my 2666 .
Why haven't you run this bench and posted results ?
If it's good enough for Sajin

Well of course 4266 is better than 2666 that’s like running stock out of the box settings vs any kind of overclock of course you’ll see gains. I’m saying like actually tight tuned ram will perform better than just raw speed XMP settings.

I don’t have an actual “system” for this kind of benchmark. No nvme drives, just SATA ssd’s. I was just curious about the metrics and scoring of it. Have fun benching it! You seem to score well in this one.

Thought I would do RAM testing.

XMP https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/27919060
https://ibb.co/Bg8YftG
XMP tweaked https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/27918299
https://ibb.co/12j70mP

Sometimes I can post images, sometimes not. Today I cannot, so I have to post imgbb links.

Anyway, it appears that RAM score does have some effect on the three categories, just not a lot, and not as much as it does on the PC Performance score.

Pc performance rating counts.
That's your overall score against pc's with the same components.
I've hit 99% the same as sparetime.
If we get to 100% , no one has a better system ( same components) .

Nice one .

Looks like your CPU is holding you back .
You could also do what I did with the nvme.
I put 2 x1 tb evo plus in raid 0.
Gave me 100% and 526% on that array .

That's a very good score when you got the RAM singing.
You could easily get to 99% with a bit of fine tuning on everything

Tried for about an hour and a half this afternoon to get W7 running on RAID0 array on my Dark.

Got W7 installed, but it will not boot. BSOD at loading screen.

Array is two Samsung 960EVO nvme, if that matters.

Can't really help with Evga MOBO's.

RAID0 is setup, W7 is installed, it simply refuses to boot. My guess is it needs the IRST driver, which apparently does not exist.

Pretty sure I used the top one .
If you get no joy, try other driver .
I don't think using 2 x 960 is going to be any different from my 2 x 970.

I have tried several, at least a dozen, including RSTe drivers.

If you know of a driver that will work, please share.

So after you have your raid set when you go to boot up is it showing your raid as a boot option ?  Did you read pages 52 and 53 of your manual and pages 66 thru 70 closely? The RAID driver should be part of the bios package of the board and the IRST should not be required to boot.  If you have any other drives plugged in unplug them while creating your raid and configuring your boot to see if its a pcie lanes problem.

Pretty sure sparetime is using Dark so it must be possible to set Raid Array as a boot option into OS.
Actually sparetime, I had to install the driver after a bios update , windows did not recognise raid without the external driver install.

Oh
I'm using a gene XI .
Asus boards are famous for their excellent bios.
Looks like it's a Dark problem and I can't help .
