5950x on an Aorus x570 Master - EKWB Monoblock cooled EVGA 3090 FTW3U on XOC BIOS - EKWB Blocked 64gb of 16/16/16/16 3200mhz RAM 1tb PCIE 4.0 Sabrent Rocket 3x 360mm rads Daily settings are MSI Afterburner, +100mhz on the GPU and +1000 on VRAM Generally my office hovers around 25C room temp. https://www.3dmark.com/pr/932673 Port Royal 14,700 I haven't pushed port royal and really tried for a "top score" for my rig, might be fun to do one night after the Fam has hit the sack but I'm going to guess I'd be hovering between 14,900 or 15,000 with the current BIOS and nothing dropping water temps below room temp capabilities. I guess some pics of my setup and screen shots of GPUZ and HWInfo are in order....I may add those later today if I remember to :)

CptT95 Sweeeeet Btw, mind pm me what all you used/did to the card, want to get memory down to those levels when I get my KP, let's spend even more money on a $2300 GPU XD Also what was that one guys heatsink from Amazon? Was the perfect size for the card
The main bulk of what I used is on Page 7 (if you're using a computer) of the VRAM cooling thread, as far as pads, heatsinks & such links goes. The 12.8Wm/K 2mm pads are Thermalright ones from Amazon. Used those on both sides VRAM now. Pretty much all of the rest of the pads I did on the backplate side are the blue Ayunni 6Wm/K pads linked on that page of the thread. The way I figure it, if I'd done it "right" the first time & just went straight to the high end pads where they're needed, cheaper ones on the rest, with heatsinks on thermal paste on the backplate, it would've probably cost less than $100 to get all that backplate cooling mods done, and the differences it's made in temps is worth it. I am curious how someone with no backplate changes would compare to my setup, temperatures wise, in terms of the VRAM etc, with a HydroCopper card specifically. It seems I've only gotten maybe 1/4 of the way through Metro Exodus or something like that. Enjoying it so far, though the "cannibals" level was creepy... and the whole "zombies" style stuff is annoying, nosalies are bad enough, I don't need weird undead/nuclear zombies flyin' at me too! lol

It's a Steam screenshot so quality is degraded a bit, but this level definitely started getting power draw way up there, it was in the 450+W range most of it once I actually got in to the level, the scene here is before you can actually "play", cinematic style: And should be noted, that power draw is with my 2100MHz @ 1025mV undervolt/OC setting:

Ordered a mp5works parallel backplate cooler instead of heatsinks and fan setup, should make things more streamlined and cooler, will see how good those stock pads really are once I get backplate cooler lol

Did the same thing, appears to be working well keeping the backside mem similar to the front. Word of cuation, none of the stock MP5clips mounting clips will work with the KPE backplate, it's just too thick and there's no gap between it and the PCB. So unless you want to rubber band it around the card, it'll just lay on top (so no vertical). Seems to be kept in place enough with the thermal pad and the self weight, but some additional compression would be nice.

They sell bigger clips, though shipping is pricey 😆 For just clips it's like 3.60 euro plus 19.90 for shipping to Virginia USA I got my order modified to add clips through CS, didn't know what clips were for when ordering, found out 5 minutes later lol

Yah, I bought those clips too. Still not big enough for the backside. You can kinda use them on the front, but they need to be bigger to fit the rear.

I need to figure out something that's going to be effective on holding the backplate on the card where those two loose corners are and see if that effects anything... I doubt it, but who knows.

I think I'm just going to use thermal tape, since I don't plan on taking the backplate off of the card again anytime soon.

What are you guys temperatures with the HC block? I used KPx thermal paste on the core and thermalright 12.8 w/mk 2mm thermal pads on the memory chips (First time watercooling GPU). Temps are okay, maybe I was expecting too much. Core delta temps are 14C which isn't that amazing for a $300 block. Memory are running very cool. Mem hotspot went from high 70s to mid 50s.

I honestly have no idea if it helped much, I do know that aside from Mem junction hitting 70s-80s still, all mem sensors through ICX is reading 50s with backplate installed no clips putting pressure(KP backplate be super THICCCCC, it don't fit at all, even the extra large clips XD) I think it does help overall a bit, but lack of pressure and the sheer size of the backplate, means unless you out higher performance pads under the backplate in place of stock, you wont get the kind of temp drops you are looking for btw, if you figure out how to clip the block onto the KP let me know, I would like to not have to use zip ties lol

its like that by design, most likely from there being a thermal pad there period
