NOT BUYING.
Dam how come?
- Already have the 3080 FTW3 Hybrid with XOC bios, only about a 10% gain
- 450w bios not 500w
- Considerable thermal issues reported
- LHR impacts the value / resale value of the card. ROI for mining ETH on this is 500 days, maybe a bit less for Altcoins, which is just ridiculous. That's a worse value than buying a 3080 on ebay 2 weeks ago for $2000.
- NO SLI. I've got two 3080's and would love to run them in SLI, but nooooo.
Mining CLEARLY has a MAJOR impact on the value of GPU's and if you're not aware of how a simple ROI or how to calculate it, you probably shouldn't be buying one. Even if you don't mine.
I'm buying GPU's because clearly that's what's in style right now. But the 3080 Ti is not in style, it's the parachute pants of computer components.
How many people are mining and cashing out their coins right away? Your ROI halves if you hold and assume bitcoin/eth will at least reach its ATH again. Say you are super bullish on bitcoin and expect it to 10x in a few years, thats like a month of mining to make back the cost of the card. I think the dumbest thing anyone could do is buy a card and cash out their crypto right away as they mine, especially after a crash like we just had. HODL

I had alot of issues with using credit cards (even though it is US one), address in USA. Still having errors at the checkout page. In the end, Paypal had to be used. which cleared. EVGA really needs to update their shopping cart. The shopping experience is very poor as compared to Amazon and Newegg. Not to mention non-US customers.
