Not many, maybe 20 to 25? Only up 14 spots on my list reported getting an email to purchase.

So they can't apply our discount codes to orders after the fact. I called them up and he said the order has to be canceled -- then I need to reply to the email with my discount code and they will generate a new link once their website is working correctly.
I'm going to trust this customer support person and do what he asks.

Just buy it and contact customer service later to apply the coupon. They can give you EVGA bucks for the difference. It worked for me.
Every single one of them said they cannot apply coupons after the fact. They didn't mention EVGA bucks. Anyways. Had to call again because the email didn't work. The next guy said to email order30 at evga.com and it will be reviewed manually.

I would be a little bit careful around this. Not everybody is planning multiple EVGA purchase so getting a credit at EVGA may not have meaningful value for everybody and EVGA has a history of not granting retroactive discounts. If you want the discount, I would push for it up front and not ask for retroactive relief. Best of luck!

I still can't believe they stopped right before my timestamp. Sitting there refreshing my email page. On the bright side I got to delete about 100 old emails. Nice and tidy now.

People couldn't get their discount coupon deal to work and had to cancel their order. EVGA wouldn't do a refund on the discount and told them they had to cancel the order and reply back to the email to purchase and are still waiting for EVGA to fix the issue. Maybe EVGA just stopped for the day to try and deal with the issue. Sucks for them as they got the email to purchase and can't purchase.

So some of you guys watch this space religiously and I have a few thoughts and a question or two. Each week we see less of these cards being sent out. It seems like a half lower each week from release. I know they built up stock for release day and I know there are market forces at play here even EVGA can't account for, but given their drive to make a profit, I suspect this is a more lucrative card for them to sell than the 3070. I suspect the 3070 will go the way of the 2070. Given if they don't have resource issues beyond the pale I would think they would push this card hard and ask their factories to highlight these cards over others. If that's the case we *should* see slow but continual numbers each week. - Is my hypothesis reasonable or just a fevered dream of someone who has tried to get a card for 8 months now?
- The awesome interaction between forum staff/EVGA and us not withstanding, do we (people on these lists) get the cards here AFTER the others in EVGA's customer base get theirs (example....bulk orders, pc builders, stores)?
As much as the 3070 TI appears to be a money grab (I'm not against profit mind you)...I would think given current market forces this *should* be a hot seller as long as the reseller market stays overpriced as it is. I know that market is cooling off...but I think this is a sweet spot for them as all the pent-up demand for a card that doesn't break the bank is there for the picking. I suspect if EVGA could flood the market w/these cards they'd do OK.

I'm not part of EVGA but work for an equipment manufacturer. There's usually two reasons why production slows 1) obsolescence and 2) prioritization. If EVGA thinks nobody will buy 3070, then they will start obsoleting the product. But I would say right now it's prioritization. Just this month so far, EVGA had 3 groups of preorders, each time the factory needs to plan, build, build up stock. So likely we see less production because new products need to be built, we still see products launched in October still moving. That said, the decision to not build 2070 is NVIDIA's, not EVGA. As for selling to base customer vs direct from their website, it's a matter of profit margin. EVGA can reach more customers at BestBuy and Amazon, but they get more profit margin by selling on their website. So it's a balance, if they only sell on their website, the run the "risk" of not selling all their products. They will most certainly anger BestBuy and Amazon. But they will leave money on the table by selling only on BestBuy/Amazon or supplying Dell. So business plan will take everything into consideration and decide where to best place their products.
