The problem here is that the "no bend" guidance IS NOT POSSIBLE with the 4090 in many or most cases - you HAVE to bend the cable pretty close to the connector to make it fit AT ALL in the case.
Didn't have that issue with the old 6-pin and 8-pin PCI-E power connectors.

Best to avoid ANY card that uses these connectors, given all the the "burn-up" issues and BAD DESIGN on this piece of junk connector.

Cases?!?! Pfft. Don't need no cases. Just get a test bench. Problem solved.

Try fitting 10+ machines onto a test bench.
Far easier to rack mount them - or at least stack them on some sort of shelving.

Especially stuff like SuperMicro 36 or 72 drive model servers.

Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding.
I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

I have also taken a hard look at switching to an EIA rack so that cards are safe from gravity as well as better air flow etc.

I found my old 90° 12VHPWR CableMod adapter recently (had never used it) and was able to submit a claim for it to CableMod. Chose a $60 store credit with up to $20 of free shipping. I'll grab one or two of their cables with it. Very good of them to do the right thing, unlike EVGA with the lack of BIOS updates for the Z690 / Z790 motherboards.

I'm not sure things would go over well if they tried to similarly offer store credit seeing how they don't have a store anymore and only sell lackluster power supplies and keyboards/mice I would not recommend.

6Q6CPFHPBPCU691 is a discount code anyone can use.

Lol true that! CableMod offered a choice of a refund via Paypal, or store credit (with additional shipping credit), but yes, I doubt anyone would want store credit with EVGA now.

The coolers are still a good option and in stock last I checked. Only reason to go with another brand would be if you have a case lighting ecosystem and the display could match that lighting.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.
