Anyone knows what the POST code 10 is all about? After flashing my bios and enterting my overclock the bios hangs on POST code 10... The book says Autodetect EEPROM, but I was wondering if someone had an English translation :)

Did you set defaults before and after the flash?

I had this issue with a x58 LE. I could get it to post after a few tries, but I think I had corrupted my bios chip somehow. Eventually the board burnt out in a different area of the board, but i dont think it was related. I would either try to re-flash the bios or see if you can buy another bios chip from evga and see if that solves the problem.

Oh, man, don't say that! I just got everything set up and stable, after my old x58 mysteriously died while I was on vacation; now I'm really pissed off!!!

I don't know how many times I flashed the bios with the same result. Now I flashed to 74 and it works, but it still takes a few tries to get it to POST...Maybe I will try flashing to the oldest version I can find and then work my way up...Damn you evga!

POST code 10 is all that the debug LED shows or are there other codes visible in sequence when POST fails?

It just stops at POST code 10 and hangs there...

I flashed to 44 then flashed to 73 and now it starts, EXCEPT when it checks the jmicron drivers and says "click to continue" unless I actually click it, it won't continue - instead of going to "verifying DMI pool data" or whatever, it just gives me blank screen until I restart...

to stop that Jmicron stuff go into your BIOS and under the advanced periphals tab DISABLE the 2 different JMicron options and that will never display at boot again. If you have something plugged into the red ports they need to be enabled but if you run 6 or less devices use up all the Black Sata ports first.

If you have not already tried, try setting BIOS back to stock instead of the OC profile and manually setup your memory configuration to spec. Check to see if the hang still happens.

Yeah, that's a lesson learned from a long time ago, but still no help.

Disabling the jmicron seems to have fixed the problem (more like masking the problem), but my BRDrives are on it :( I guess I will have to downsize on storage some to make it work without the jmicron...bummer

Honestly I did not intend to freak you out, I think my board died for other reasons and I told you that just to say I didn't have the board long enough to find a solution to post code 10. I have had 2 boards since then ( one sli3 and now a classified E770) and no post code 10 (knock on wood) problems since with the same hardware and same exact overclock. I personally think that it could be an issue with a bad bios chip
