I have a 3080 FTW3 Ultra. With the default fan curve or any curve that goes below 40%, my PC will crash and require a PSU reset to reboot when Windows goes to sleep. No crashing during gaming or anywhere else. Only when it goes to sleep. If I set a custom fan curve with a minimum speed of 40% everything is fine. Has anybody else experienced this?

That’s weird. It should work fine at stock settings. Try to use dedicated pcie cables and undervolt it

Come on man, seriously? You really think that will help?

Never heard of that, exceptionally strange. Download the most recent version of EVGA Precision X1 and run it. It might install a firmware update.

I should note that I've had this card since December and it has been a problem since day one. I've tried everything I can think of: under-volting, different RAM, re-installed drivers, updated firmware, etc.... It's very strange. No issues with the card other than this scenario. I can live with the fans being on all of the time so that my PC can sleep properly. Not a big deal, but that fact that I shouldn't have to is disconcerting. Here are my specs since I didn't include them: Phanteks Eclipse P500A Ryzen 5900x ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra NZXT Kraken Z63 Corsair RM850x PSU iCue Commander Pro and 6 Corsair QL fans.

I've never heard of such a thing, and I had the same card before for roughly 6 months, using it everyday. Did you install px1 and let it do its firmware update? Are you using 3 individual pci-e cables for each slot? Did you re-install windows? I mean, there's so many things to try. or if you're sure it's the card, I'd reach out to EVGA customer support. If it's been like this since the beginning.

I have done each of these things, but no go. I put the card in my other PC and wasn't able to reproduce the issue. Since the PSU is shutting off I'm thinking it might be Under-voltage protection tripping or something. I've got a replacement PSU on the way to see of that fixes it.

I experienced similar issues a while back with my PSU, but it manifested a little different, namely the PC would randomly reboot only while playing video games, and not necessarily demanding ones. Of course, I went through a painstaking troubleshoot of eliminating the possible cause, until there was only the PSU left to change. It turned out my old PSU had quad rail power distribution, which may have resulted in a failure of power delivery in one of the rails when in load. I switched to a corsair monorail, and hadn't any problems regarding that ever since. Curiously enough, you also have a corsair brand PSU, and I did not expect that, because they make quality PSU's. You should reach the warranty if still possible, and I am sure that after you install the replacement PSU, you will be good to go.
