ARCTIC_EAGLE
Theboatswain ARTIC_EAGLE, I have been trying to follow the new stuff but this Z68 will it be dual channel? Are you talking about the chipset or a CPU? I just purchased my Memory and new 2600k CPU and I really don't feel like sending them back since I got a great deal on them. But if waiting this long like you said maybe we should just get the next great thing coming out, that just may be the way to go. I really want a Classified Board!!! I am going to school at the age of 49 @ITT-Tech hoping to lean a bit more about our hobby. I have a great ideal for a rig and involes a old school gas pump. I could go on but I don't want to give it all away. I have learned alot here at EVGA and I am not ready to give up on them. Yes they are having issues, I really think we all can thank NVIDIA for that since they stopped making Chipsets. You do not see BFG anymore do you?
Z68 basically equals P67 except with a few "new" features. DDR3 and a 2600K CPU will work fine with the Z68 system boards. Link to more information here. Currently the ETA for Z68 is May 10th, and we should see a full complement of boards by the end of May or early June as long as everything goes well. As for nVidia's chipsets, well the NF200 is used on some high end P67 boards. The issues at EVGA are not related to nVidia in my opinion, its simply down to EVGA not being able to get their products to market (possibly due to some of their motherboard team leaving). At this point I don't see much point in buying P67 with the release of the Z68 just ~27 days away. EVGA has failed to release the P67 line up to make it relevant in the market, their only hope is to release Z68 boards on the official release date, failing that EVGA would stand to miss large numbers of sales. I'm guessing the Z68 motherboards will be almost the same as P67 ones except with a few different chips, so it shouldn't be to hard to get Z boards out quickly.
ARTIC_EAGLE , Thanks for the information, I have time. I want to make sure I am getting somthing that will do me for a while just like my 780i FTW board has. Heck it is still kicking fingers crossed I just may turn it into a server board. Thanks agin for the help and I am with you, I am really pulling for EVGA here I don't want to see them slipping into the night never to be seen again because they do put together so awesome stuff. I have said a few things bad but I never cross the line.
If I could go all American I would!

Well i got tired of waiting, just ordered the Asus Maximus from tiger direct and it should be here tomorrow since i did next day shipping. You can get $20 off of the maximus from TD until the 18th with code FKP26707 Sucks, i REALLY wanted an EVGA board but this is ridiculous that they still dont have a board out. Since they never released the first time i expected them to be one of the first ones out with a new board but nope. Also hearing about how their main motherboard guy left and now they cant get a board out sends a bad signal to me.

Now you've been looking at that secret board pic for quite some time already and none of you seem to have noticed one thing (correct me if I'm wrong): the board is covered with LN2 pots, lots of them. CPU, 2 GPUs. Now the GPUs have dual LN2 pots! Which means they're dual-GPUs. Like 460 2Win or maybe even 590. And these require full 16+16, don't they? Which means the board is probably an nForce board. Can that be?

XFX left the motherboard business...curious if others will follow suit.

I am waiting honestly just for the fact of the customer support, warranty, and the overall product. I am not necessary a high end hardware consumer just because i have been out of the game since 2007. Minus the occasional build for friends and what not.

IF it is delayed, then why release pictures of the SLI and the FTW in the Facebook page. This is so confusing. I am building my rig next week and I have all the parts except the motherboard. I dont know what to do. I wish EVGA would just say something instead of hinting at things from other forums (kingpin) or facebook.

I see some differences Ahh, ok some more caps I see okay, and less of them on the right side of the DIMM slots I was more hoping a re-design meant an x1 slot that could actually have something connected into it without interference from that NB heatsink, the power/reset buttons not directly below the bottom PCIe slot, at least a legacy PCI slot for say a Xonar soundcard, and a PCI slot juice connector that isn't in the middle of the board

Close enough! Back to the point though, I have a question. You seem to frequent the P67 forums often. Are you inevitably keeping your Maximus or are you going to get the FTW when it is released (in 2015 )

Otherwise I'll be sticking with it for awhile. That said, it would take a whole lot to get an EVGA product inside my case again. Long story on that one.

when will evga learn to put the front audio panel connector at the bottom of the board? most anoying thing about evga boards since x58 came out is that darn audio being under a pcie card. looks like no dual bios and very limited rear i/o options. think i'll just get asus m4e or gigabyte ud7. besides i am tired of messing with 20+ beta bios on my evga x58 boards anyways.

Yup, I agree too, unfortunately there are technical limitations that do not allow this however. We are however possibly looking into right angled headers in the future to overcome some of the inteference with PCI-E cards.
