Got a ? here. I know from reading, that turbo mode or EIST has to be enabled to bring the chips up to 4800MHZ. but the MESH is another
beast. see most get skylake x to 30 or31, but how can you take this setting to? But here is what puzzles me, is cpu z says 4800 but in task manager or system, it shows 3500 mhz.

299 dark, with a 7800x no need for more right now. chip runs greqat at 4800mhz with avx of 3 offset and a 31 mesh with
corsair rgb 3200 pro. any more I can get from this? dual fan AIO idle 44c max in game 55 and cinamench 70c. and vcore is

No need for more cores, always a need for more speed.

With this setup, how high can I probably go with the skylake x 7800? 4800 is so sweet and snappy, but
will 5ghz be suffice with a corsair aio 100v2?

my task manager shows 4.59GHz as my multi is 100x46 but to be honest what task manager says isnt really important to me. Actual clock is what i care about and thats what CPU-Z shows me.

I dont use turbo mode or any of the c states. I keep my multiplier ratio set at 46 all the time.

When right clicking my computer, and selecting properties. you get an info screen of system type, name and specs.
I wanna know why it shows the stock speed of cpu. and you said you keep turbo off. on dark 299 I did that
in the setup, and even though it showed 48x the stock was 3500 on all spec . plus how high can you get the mesh?

because it pulls that data from a metadata string on the CPU. Your wanting it to show actual clock in places that its not going to.

My mesh is set at 32.

If you turn turbo off it will not apply overclock and only run at stock speed 3.5GHz.  Other poster may be referring to turbo 3.0 which is different and you can turn it off but they should have specified.

    Set VMESH to Adaptive
    Set Voltage to 1.2

I have it on 1.12, but I will go to 1.2v. does that vcore doing anything
to the core vcore on cpu? in workloads.

Mesh voltage? no its the voltage for Mesh. CPU Voltage is different.

I know that, I was wondering if the mesh voltage effects cpu temps under load? and having this at 1.2 effect your system? BSOD's or
    random weirdness?

i could only get to 31 on auto. To hit 32 i had to change to 1.2. I dont know how much it affected temps. I just did it per the OC Guide. Then set my multi based on temps and throttling.

How is the performance with the 32 mesh? I used to use auto back in the day, went to 30, and now 31 and seems more snappy
    when navigating.

I decided to try the mesh at 32, and with 1.2v, and seems ok for awhil, but when I ran a 3dmark workload in ultra.
I got a bsod. but when I moved it back to 31 mesh, no bsod in workloads.  is this cuz im running at 4800mhz? and mesh to
    high?
