So recently I booted up SWTOR and it gave me the Out of Range error. Now usually I just Alt+TAB out of the game get back in and it auto sets the right resolution, but sometimes I need to shut down my pc in order to stop the error. I shut down my pc and when I rebooted it gave me the Out of Range error on start up. I have tried going into safe mode uninstalling my drivers then getting back into normal windows letting it install the drivers and then reboot but it doesn't work I let it sit over night because some people said that they woke up tried again and it worked, this is a serious problem I don't want to drop another 250 on a new GTX 760. Please respond quickly!

Out of range error is your monitor telling you the signal that is being sent from the GPU to your monitor, isn't correct. It's possible the game is trying to set a resolution your monitor doesn't support. Is SWTOR the only game that does this? A bit of searching shows you're not the only one with this issue...Are you using a DVI or HDMI connection?

DVI and this problem is on start up not from starting a game my computer is running as if there isn't a graphics card installed, when I try using Nvidia Control Panel it says I don't have a display attached to a GPU.

Do you have another DVI or HDMI cable you can try?

I do have another one but I don't think it is that because I am using the pc right now. My refresh rate is 72Hz. I don't know what VirtualMVP is...Sorry for the late reply I went somewhere

Well, if you're not even going to try out suggestions....What is the exact model of your monitor? 72hz is an unusual refresh rate. What resolution are you running? Are you using a single or dual link DVI?

I know it's an asus monitor and the normal resolution is 1600*1440 and it is 70Hz not 72Hz.

You must use a dual link DVI for that resolution. You mean 2560x1440 right?

No 1600 by 900. When I set it to that it wouldn't work right now I have a different monitor plugged in and installing the updated drivers. Then when that finishes I will restart hopefully that works.
