why is there such a huge variance on people's shader clocks? you can't even touch those through precision right?

The Shader clock is now tied to the GPU clock and runs at twice GPU clock speed, so it is adjusted by adjusting GPU Clock offset.

hmm... why does the evga tool report mine so low then while reporting the gpu at 1250... weird

i'll have to do some more testing this afternoon

edit:

hmm... 1250 can't be right... something is amiss in reporting. +75 should put me at 1199 according to the evga 680SC specs.

I changed from factory driver to WHQL. This is the first time I used the  driver 301.10 and PCIe 3.0 enabled per registry. I was really surprised and did not expect that a driver produce so much difference.

Still trying some more benchmarks... gpu clock speed seems to be off in NV-Z :-(
Can't get any more out of my CPU, damn Voltage Regulator is overheating with anything over 4.6ghz :-(

BTW... No idea why as I have tried both drivers and both Precision X's... Cannot for the life of me get the clocks to show up in NV...

The clocks go down as soon as the load is gone due to adaptive behavior. I tried "maximum performance" in Nvidia CP.
Sometimes the clocks stay in P0 level a bit longer to take a screenshot.
I will give nvidia inspector a try. Maybe it's true that this tool can lock the the clocks in P0, as I've read just before.

@Afterburner and Linuxrouter
Besides, thank you for your appreciation. Nice to be king for a day, or lets say for an hour.
But I'm quite sure, right now happen clock sweating activities in the background which will unthrone the prevailing winner.
The show must go on. And I like it.

Really need to pickup a 680. I'm running two 560tis and the highest I've been able to get on air is around 9700. Crazy to think just one 680 would beat my two cards by a good margin. Went ahead and updated the scores.

@Afterburner - Can you post 3DMark score link?

This was my first try at 3D mar11 with the 680. I know it's not the "proper" format but how do are you calculating the cores and offset, etc. Call me stupid, but after reading through the pages I'm still not sure. Can somebody explain it to me so I have a better understanding?
At any rate

^^^ The clock speeds can be found when using the EVGA-NV tool found in the new OC Scanner program. You can access the download links from my OP for this thread.

Hmmm. I downloaded the OC scanner 2.10 released 4/22 and it does not show all the memory clocks like I see in everybody else' photos here. What I do have is GPU clock@1336 Mem clock@3505

Well, at least that's progress. So-what I have so far is:
7 920@4.2ghz----(1)GTX 680----1336/3505/???----+132/+200/+502
3DMark score: 10719 http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3214311
Edit: The current and max do not show in the middle boxes like I see in other pics-those remain empty during testing.

Okay, I guess I'm confused about the shader. As far as I know, and correct me if I'm wrong, NVIDIA dropped the shader clock with Kepler, opting instead to double the number of CUDA cores to achieve the same effect. I've added a link so you can see my Precisionx and NV-Z

The one consistent about these cards is that there not consistent. Since you can't lock the clocks on them they seem to be a little different every time you benchmark them. But when you leave them at stock or a mild overclock they run games very good.

I guess I won't get much more out of it with my p67 chipset.
All higher GPU clock offset values lead to artefacts.

Thanks Quagmire for posting your score the right way! Makes managing this thread a bit easier.

For the rest of those who posted scores, please remember that screenshots are a must to be added to the leader board. This helps us verify settings and helps others in their overclocking journeys.

Always impressive with your OCing skillz john, grats. You just posted a P score with 1 680 and it's knocking on the door of stock 7970 crossfire. Nice!

What's the real core though, can't see 1156MHz, I have to imagine you're around 1260.
