Back in January, Nvidia announced that it would be updating its GPU drivers to support FreeSync displays under the new ‘G-Sync Compatible’ initiative. This means that Nvidia GPU users can switch G-Sync on using any adaptive sync display, although there is a verification program in place to highlight the monitors that supposedly work the best without the proprietary G-Sync module. The official list of verified monitors has grown this week, with 17 different monitors now in place.

Here is the full list as it stands today (25.03.19):
  • Acer XV273K
  • Acer ED273A
  • Acer XFA240
  • Acer XF250Q
  • Acer XG270HU
  • Acer XZ321Q
  • Asus MG278Q
  • Asus XG248Q
  • Asus XG258Q
  • Asus VG258Q
  • Asus VG258QR
  • Asus VG278Q
  • Asus VG278QR
  • AOC AGON AG241QX
  • AOC G2590FX
  • BenQ XL2540
  • BenQ XL2740
No doubt more monitors will be added to this list

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

I have an LG 32" 2k monitor 144hz with Freesync.

Gsync is working well on it with the new driver.
Looks fantastic, and only half the price of my old 27" 2k gsync monitor too

Translation: Acer, ASUS, AOC and BenQ have all paid their licensing fees to Nvidia for the G-Sync program.

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

Dagnit!  For the money I spent on this Dell Gysnc, I would have gone with a Freesync and possibly got more features with IPS.

Guess the real question has anyone seen someone post about a freesync monitor that isn’t compatible? So far I haven’t really seen those posts but I haven’t looked that hard.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

My monitor a Samsung 4k monitor:
    https://smile.amazon.com/Samsung-U32J590-32-Inch-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B07CS3JGPC/
Has freesync, and while it works, flickering does sometimes appear when it's active, far more so on the "ultimate engine" than the normal one, so I'd think that wouldn't qualify for certification, though what game I'm using it with does tend to vary how well it works. that said, I have it off atm, for what that's worth.

There are a few that Nvidia showcased that were flashing as examples of FreeSync bad actors, but donno if those were cherry picked or more common.
