s1rrah I tried to post some good guides but EVGA forums won't let me post a link for some ghey reason ...
You'll need to earn the right to post links ---> around your 11 or 12 post I believe It works fine with the back half of the shroud over the factory fan; unlike in the photo in the above post - keep the factory cool plate to help with heat disapation.
re: posting ... that's what I figured ... And if your referring to my photo above? I would recommend finding some way to use the ENTIRE shroud ... on my GTX 980's, it's not an issue because the hybrid kits fit perfectly ... on my Titan, when I get it? I'll either mod a 1080 kit or use the official Titan kit when it's released. Definitely use the entire shroud, though ... it makes a huge difference... 110F air coming out the back is no small thing ...

Cool GTX Titan X Pascal with 1080 hybrid LINK
Has this been tried and true? Has anyone on here personally done this? It's getting more tempting to just man up and buy a Titan xp and use a little elbow grease rather than wait for 2 1080s pre hybridized whenever they decide to restock in the next months...

About to order a 1080 kit. One last questions before I do so. Is the EVGA Hybrid Titan X Pascal kit will be release or no. A simple YES or NO please. Thanks

I saw your post in the Titan X hybrid petition thread under the pascal card forum. Thank you for cornering an answer from someone @ EVGA. Not sure why EVGA likes to spawn so many product announcements and then orphan them. Getting answers from EVGA on these products is akin to trying to collect back child support from a deadbeat parent..

Yes I certainly hope so but "soon" is very subjective... I think that EVGA should seriously think about restructuring their company (and acronymic name) to better reflect their willingness to communicate information on new product releases. They could rename the company VAGE, all same components of EVGA but restructured phonetically to capture the essence of their product releases, "vague." The company motto could be "don't let the name fool you, we meant to leave U out."

Use EVGA support to ask product questions if members are unable to help - EVGA do not read every single post on every single thread on every single forum. Jacob has since said EVGA will be creating an AIO cooler for the Titan XP, but does not have an ETA as yet. It was that news that finally made my mind up to get a Titan XP myself, and return the faulty 1080 Hybrid I purchased.

..and now I have the Titan XP, yup, it would certainly benefit from a hybrid cooler. I wonder if this is a low priority for EVGA, considering NVidia won't let anyone sell the Titan XP but themselves. Has anyone here done the 1080 Hybrid AIO mod for the Titan yet? I'm kind of getting antsy to water cool this beast.

AIO will serve you perfectly. Today some kind of AIO is almost necessary if customers don't use real liquid cooling.

Not necessarily, my GTX 1070 with targets at the highest settings and with a 100 MHz off set on the GPU boost 3.0 on air is reaching 61 C on the default auto fan curve. This card might be an EVGA GTX 1070FTW but there is no liquid cooling on it.

No, it's not. AIO are not completely necessary on GPUs. They're nice, but not necessary; if you're overclocking I would recommend a custom loop, and not an AIO. I'm on air and have amazing temps even while I game. Many times they don't even go over 60d.

They have a long lost of products to release first. Apart form the odd ones like LED power supplies, the powerlink (not odd) and the FTW hybrid kits. Not to mention the modular liquid loop system they showed at Computex. Not to mention the Hydro Copper 1080 that is promised. Titan XP will just have to wait in line or you can suck it up and buy from the other vendors selling kits like EKWB.

Sadly, they are only selling the regular 1080 hydro copper block. We still have no FTW watercooling at all unless you buy a prepackaged Hybrid FTW. Feels like I'll be waiting till next year to put my FTW underwater.

I guess there's always the EK-XLC Predator and then you can hook in a pre-filled Titan cooler block... but that's another $350+ to lay down. I don't have the time to set up and maintain a full custom loop again, I'd rather have a purpose-built AIO like the EVGA Hybrid cooler.

Cool GTX Titan X Pascal with 1080 hybrid LINK
Just watched the full video (thanks CoolGTX for the link) and the follow-up video on the results. No physical mod required that damages the stock Titan shroud, so I'm going to give this some serious consideration, unless Jacob gives us a firm date on a custom-fit AIO cooler real soon. edit: ok enough consideration already, I've just ordered the hybrid cooler. ;)

When you will have install it, I dont know if you have a way to take the temperature of the base plate on the left side where the vram is. I think their is a vrm for the vram at the end of the base plate left side. Im curious to know what the temperature will be without active cooling!

There will still be some air moving around from the fan mounted on the card, so I was thinking of adding some copper heatsinks on there to help as passive cooling. From the video, it apparently shouldn't be an issue as they don't get super-hot anyway, but some added heatsinks certainly wont hurt. I have a case fan that blows external air right over that area as well. Unfortunately I don't have any heat sensors I can stick there to get an accurate reading though. Thanks for reminding me to order the heatsinks btw. ;)

Im sure just the baseplate and some air will be enought but just to be sure I would check at least once and take readings everywhere on the left side. I use a Infrared temp gun for every temperature reading I need. I bought mine at home depot. 20$ I think just to be on the safe side you should try to get one. With the price of the card it can be worth it!

I had a laser thermometer less than a year ago from Newegg but it turned out to be very inaccurate and gave multiple different readings of the same spot, so I tossed it lol.

Is this still a thing? This was promised quite awhile ago... I would have bought the Titan from you guys if I could have (not your fault), but I'd really rather buy a cooler from this company as it's normally my go-to. The longer this drags out the less longevity the card has, so kinda frustrating to have no update whatsoever.
