God another driver. Happy I have not had a cha 've to update since 388.31.

what gets me is you got this game that's been under development lets say 2 years but it releases and you need a driver to be updated or what ever for it ??? how bad was it working then under the old drivers and hardware when they built it up ?
what drivers were they using to build the game and why its optimized poorly under previous released drivers ? as said it that hurry up get it out working or not then you deal with it latter after we got your money then add win-10 / steam/uplay/origin clients on top let us know how its working out and we may try to fix it [or not] or your mandatory steam type client downloading of content does you more harm then good then what ?

see may not be the game or the driver but steam /origin or uplay making there ''changes '' to your computer '' without limitation' by you ?? that's what you agreed to for a game . just not worth it under them terms in any way unless you got 10 that makes your computer as public as ever anyway , right ???

As a 3D renderer/3D modeler myself, Cuda support & updates for drivers interests me.
What I do not like is constant updates.....Seems rushed and haphazard. Beta testing shouldn't be our responsibility.

Also....I bought the EVGA 1080 SC2 for 600 bucks based upon EVGA's own website product page stating it was getting a massive BIOS update that increased nearly all specs not just the memory increase from 10005 to 11000 double data rate.It listed all of the increased speeds/specs. The 273.2GT/s Texture Fill Rate & 320GB/s Memory Bandwidth was being increased. The notice was up for nearly 48 hours.I know becuase I watched the prices and the product page daily until I could purchase the card due to outragous prices & limited video card production to meet customer demands.
The notice for the update was pulled the day after I bought the card. It tells me that the 1080 SC2 can handle ALOT more then what EVGA has given to us unwashed barbarian customers.....

I think they update just to push that advertising of a new game release! Dawned on me while updating the drivers tonight.. seeing adds plastered all over it of player unknown.

I think you got a driver today that's a 400 mb download, but the driver itself is only 75mb of that. the rest is all the crap you really don't want or need, like that active content , gimmickware and all how bout a clean standalone driver for the card with out all the crapware ???
just like in the feedback of this driver the same ol' same ol; [???] notice the amount of malware 10 users

that's why all I install is gpu and physicis drivers and maybe the sound drivers if you want them. But now they even sneak in Nvidia telementry service even if you don't install GeForce experince so I have to make a habit to disable that service

Heh Heh, I suspect you are right. NV are not known for doing anything just from the goodness of their collective hearts. @AHowes. Yes, this too!! Once we have beta tested enough for them, they release another one...for beta testing. In fact, those of us with NV cards and up to date drivers are in a perpetual state of beta testing. Mmmmmph

I find these ALOT better when playing Ghost Recon Wildlands. FPS now @ 2560x1440p with 2 1080 Ti's sits @ 80FPS for most of the action. Love these. Best driver so far.

Yeah, Windows 10 is pure junk. It works, but the forced updates continue to break things in the name of fixing others. I used to update slowly with XP and 7 because Microsoft has always broke things with updates. Cant do that anymore because Microsoft is going to force an update on you.
